Homicidalheathen
I respect some of your opinions on here (wiccans/pagans). Having an arguement with someone over this. 3 times in my life I devoted all of my spell work and meditation and life style habits to getting in contact with these beings. It took 2 years the first time, 1 1/2 years the second time, 6 months the third time. I had to get myself real, pure and grounded and calm feeling. So this guy says oh no, fairies like chaotic energy.......and that they are more drawn to that. This has not been my experience. He also has this book on fairies. I think the guy that wrote it is nuts or I am missing something. All I saw was shooting star looking things in the trees and firefly type things once not actual beings per se'. I feel the chaotic vibes chase them away......you? And if it draws them, maybe I don't want that. What a draw from chaotic energies so far....you really don't want around or on you. ZhukovCodeslinger
what do your spells do? Im not trying to talk shit or anything... but do you actually believe this stuff.... or do you just get really high and start typing? I just get really confused sometimes when I read your posts. :erm
Crazed Vampyress
well i dont personally do spells at all. im not wiccan or pagan or.... anything really. but all the people i know who *ARE* into that kind of thing have said they only saw sprites, faeries, or whatever when they were very calm and had removed all worries and thoughts from their minds. several have commented on having to be in a 'child like' state of mind, innosence being the key. now i CANT speak from experience, ive never seen anything like this. i cant say they do or do not exsist. i simply dont know. im just passing along what ive heard, word-of-mouth. Homicidalheathen
Has anyone read this book, good fairies, bad fairies? I think the guy is an awesome illustrator but maybe a bit off his rocker. He actually see's and talks to all these sentient beings? And no, most of my experiences with this were when I was in NarAnon......I did not smoke or drink or do anything for 12 years until I got sick. And when first picking it off the shelf I was almost affarid to open it. Not that I have faith anymore .. Ive lost all faith.

Rayne
Fairies have always been associated as chaotic energy. At least that's my understanding.
DisturbedMania
Fairies have had stories in which they are good, bad, and neutral. I think all spirit/sentient forms seem to be that way and over the long run it balances to a sort of neutral. But, I suppose that would just be my opinion. My take on fairies is that they are positive, but very playful. Not so much trouble as a leprechaun or poltergeist<sp>.
DisturbedMania
BTW, marigold water over the eyes is supposed to allow you to see fairies, but I haven't tested it. Just something I read.

GothicRavenGoddess (3)
talk about reserecting dead threads... I have to say... My cat Ryuu chases and catches fairies.. I have to all but tackle him so he doesn't kill or eat them... erg! I can't see them, but I know what he's doing... those silly little tricksters picked on him his entire first day here... I could FEEL them laughing everytime he came close and didn't catch them... silly buggers... lol the house is full of them... I don't have to call them to me... i can feel them resting on me, or tugging at my clothes... I can feel them wake me, when i need it (bad dreams, or to make sure I'm ok, when I'm sick), or clinging on me, when they need a rest... though they do sit in me hoop earings, while I'm wearing them... that doesn't feel good, if there's more than one of them... I don't think that I'm special in all this, i just think that they know I won't hurt them, and they get a kick out of the fact that their presence seems so normal to me... (Ryuu doesn't think so, though) he'll live though. its a comfort.

Enishi
Personally, I think many of the UFOs and aliens people see nowadays are a form of faerie phenomena. Several hundred years ago people believed in gnomes and undines so they appeared in that form, now they appear in a form more suitable to the current thought atmosphere humans put out. violentivy
Depends on the fairy really... I have had a few experiences with Fairies. One was a very pleasant little sprite. Very calm, very subdued, but at that point my life was in chaos. The second experience was one of the single most frightening things in my life that I have experienced. I, in my stupid and infinite 16 year old wisdom decided to summon a Banshee... You've never known such chaos and unease. Like a torrent of wind, rain and fire that bursts through the dark. I have no psychic "vision" per se, but I know she did meet my eyes squarely and let me know exactly how she felt about my summoning her. I was kinda like "oh... My mistake, I just thought you might want a break from death..." to which she howled that unearthly howl of hers and disappeared from my room, quiet and calm. So, yes, both things are true. Fairies are drawn to chaos, but not because they want to join in it, because they want to make it right.

Fairies are drawn to chaos, but not because they want to join in it, because they want to make it right. First correct answer...YAY! I am sick & tired of Occultists trying to pin the "simple dichotomy" on the Spirits... ..it is much more complex...some "Good" some "Bad"...some don't care about you until you encroach upon their territory...SOME are SO not interested in our affairs that you must coax them out of hiding...(ask me in person, & I will tell you anything..I will not post my Families Trade Secrets in the open for all time...as they would assuredly be misused at some point in time.) ..Fae are Angelic entities (I am pretty f-ing sure)..or Angels are Fae. ..here..I copy this chart for yous... Sumerrian->EL="brightness" or "shining"Akkadian--->ILU="radiant one" Babylonian->ELLU="the shining one" Old Welsh--->ELLU="a shining being" Old Irish----->ELF="shining being" Anglo-Saxon->AELF="radiant being" ((REF= ANGELS, An Endangered Species by, Malcolm Godwin))
jynxxxedangel
I have resident Little People. They must hitch a ride in my moving boxes, as I have had them ever since I lived in a house on the edge of an ash grove. They are small and brown, resembling mice, dustbunnies, or clumps of dead leaves. I think lots of folks have them, but mistake them for house mice. They seem to like cat food, as I tend to see them around the cat dish often. Many people think I'm cracked, until they feel a bump under their chair, or see one of my cats going after one-- or something important (such as car keys, underwear, or other various paraphernalia) disappears inexplicably..
