~~~~~ When I was growing up, we were told that thunder and lightning was God entering the atmosphere. I also find it interesting that you mentioned seeing something coming out of the wall. The same thing happened to us when we were kids. But then again, we come from generations of sensitives.

~~~~~ Actually, the Earth goes through a pandemic almost every 100 years. It seems that every time we pat ourselves on the back and become complacent we encounter another threat to our immunity.

The vaccines don’t work. They were rushed to the public, so the politicians could have something to point to and say they did something.

~~~~~ I look at pissing off the universe as the universe forcing us to become stronger by presenting us with obstacles we would not normally seek out...bankruptcy, tragedy, homelessness, etc., they happen, no we don't want them, but we become resourceful and mentally stronger through our survival of them. Sorry, I wasn't trying to get all philosophical there. 😅

Yea she probably is. I have a feeling she is probably going to text me for Tuesday. She was out sick most of last week so maybe she will be in tomorrow with her daughter and if that's the case they won't need me til Tuesday. I don't think she's going to fire me because I tried to quit last month and she's like no, I'm not letting you 🤣

~~~~~ I know this is serious, but I love the way you put it. I have to admit, the entire time I was out shopping from October to New Year's Eve, only a small fraction of people even bothered to wear a mask, unless that particular location mandated it. And no one of the Caucasian variety was wearing a mask at any of the malls, restaurants and shopping centers I visited from Southfield to Farmington Hills to Roseville to Warren. When I was at Macomb Mall, I started to grab some supplies at Party City, but after watching these little unmasked kids touching everything, accompanied by unmasked adults and unmasked store employees, I kept on driving. Pardon my paranoia, but no.

It's not just you, it's devolved into something completely different than when I joined, it's beginning to feel very culty and more about leadership worship than the actual goth scene 😕 Can't bite my tongue on that any further, when someone demands to be called "Father" and there's leadership ranks of servitude...yiiiiiikes. The whole thing is also uncomfortably based around sex and fetish now, whereas it used to be all about the goth scene. That's why I came back for a second but went back to being silent.

~~~~~ As much as I feel thankful to DGN for personal reasons, I think I took a slight offense to this statement. Those who attended The Gathering that took place at The Red Apple Restaurant, the few I met at City Club and the one time I went to Small"s are the only members of any group who have ever seen me in person outside of attending Parent Teacher Conferences when The Monchichis were enrolled in "brick and mortar" schools. There is a good reason that I do not socialize, but I am not the type of person who explains that subject time and time again. So no worries, I will not have an explanation of my excuse as to why I am not attending. Much love and Happy New Year 🎉

Just so I can understand this properly, is joining Detroit Gothic Net considered as joining a club or is it expressing yourself on an online Gothic site of like minded individuals. I think I may have had the wrong understanding of this place for the last 10 years...
