I don't push people away, I just struggle to connect in the first place. Terribly socially awkward in initial meetings.

I find it best to remember the good stuff. The past is past. While I was sad that there was a rift between Troy and my Moe, I never forgot that he was the one to step up and visit her in the hospital when I could not. He did that despite his misgivings about the distance, how well his car was running at the time, gas and on and on. What could've been... well... it's futility now to speculate and only compounds our grief. True story.

~~~~~ Good to hear from you since you've been a bit MIA for the past few months. I was cracking up at your "dead body" comment in the birthday thread because I used to have a tarp wrap in the back of my 1998 Toyota Tacoma flatbed that we used to call the "Dead Body". It was about 150 lbs of concrete bags wrapped in a blue tarp to keep the truck from sliding on the roads during winter. I got lazy and just left it back there year round. Unfortunately, I accidentally referred to it as the Dead Body on 3 separate occasions which almost got me in trouble. 1. A group of Home Depot employees helping me load my truck in Novi in 2008. 2. Speaking with a police officer doing a routine tab check in 2010. 3. The American side of Boarder Patrol on a return trip from Canada in 2013. Yeah, it's funny now, but at the time I was sweating bullets.

I really should have known better. Hope can be blinding. Feelings are stupid.

Slightly edited copy of my wedding photo which has survived the destruction of every cell phone of mine over nearly 6 years, it always manages to get passed on. I set it up and shot this one myself and it just turnt out right as rain, T-totally the opposite of how the marraige itself has turned out. Its still one of my favorite shots, she is 8½ months pregnant with my first child here, my daughter Lilith Kay who is my anchor to living in this world.
