It's a real shame we don't have a thread for cats. So, let me start. This is Edgar! He's about three years old. I adopted him in April. He's the absolute sweetest and does this little thing where he says "mwer" in his inside voice instead of meowing. I wish I could say I named after Edgar Allen Poe, but he came with it from Harbor Humane. Well I suppose I could still tell people that, it would just be a lie XD

  4. In a couple hours I'm going to meet up with a friend and go for a walk in nature. I've been trying to hang out with her more, and I need to clear my head. A win-win.

Ashton ? That’s his smile. Buddy sometimes chases Ashton like a bully, and sometimes Vice versa.

  12. That's a cool story. I think my name was actually "Coffeenated" because I drank coffee regularly back then. It's crazy how long ago it's been but before coming to this place, almost two decades ago, I was talking to/randomly spamming and tormenting gothic Brits online as an over-caffeinated 16-year-old.

  13. ~~~~~ I used to have a black pleather lounge in the flatbed of my truck, which was nice because my truck has a truck cap. However, I ended up taking it out when I did some furniture moving and then other stuff got loaded back there and now it's basically a recycling catch-all for when we make runs to the center. But it was nice to take a break back there while I was riding around with it. Wow, I didn't realize I missed that.

  14. ~~~~~ The main thing I really want members to understand is that, although it is true that Troy founded this site and sparked the foundation for this community, going forward, for the foreseeable future, I am the one hosting this site and, accordingly, how this end of the online community will be managed under my administration. If you are looking to hold a position, don't worry about how things went then, think of this as a new starting point where decisions will be based on your merit and what you bring to the community. DGN has a member Code of Conduct and a Guideline to How to Become a Staff Member. Although some sections are in need of editing, they are still in play and will continue to function as the basis of Detroit Gothic.Net. So, to begin with, I am the main person you have to be concerned with.

  15. ~~~~~ When I first joined the board, I used to ride out to visit members just because. The furthest member I visited in the U.S. lives in Adrian, Michigan. The furthest member I visit outside of the U.S. lives in Canada. Holland, Michigan is a 3 hour freeway drive. That's a 6 hour round trip. Would you be renting a room if you came to Detroit for an event?

  17. I think OSHA will be crawlin up our ass tomorrow. Electrician was on a 12 ft ladder and fell off thru the ceiling grid and knocked himself the f out. Me and another guy was first on the scene, took like 5 minutes to get him to regain consciousness. I got electrician blood all over me. Paramedics hauled him out on a stretcher. It was a typical Monday I reckon.
