I want to make the 50's a bit of a push for people to come if they haven't. Since this will be the gathering 150 if you are thinking about making an effort to come and don't usually this would be the one. This week will be BIG cards. (The postcard sized ones). Unless the stock doesn't show up in time (used the absolute last sheet of cardstock last week more is on order amazon says it should be here on time) -
That includes @TronRP

Do it!

Hah. Although if the rich have their way that will become a real thing. Once the planet is half-dead and the super-rich live in ivory towers even higher than the ones they live in now we will just be drones.

Random Acts of Kindness 5.0 - Post, This Means You
Troy Spiral replied to Troy Spiral's topic in Other Stuff
@NocteSpiritus Jessie that list is a bit confusing. I'm not sure what a "collaboration" is. I do see the items but it doesn't even have your name on it. I tried to buy something but it doesn't actually seem to go anywhere it just puts it in my cart like i'm buying it for myself. -

I could only read like the first 5 parts. I'll try to read more. I just have so much stuff to do and so little "healthy time" during a day to get it done. I have fiction piled up to the roof waiting for me to read. Right now I'm committing sacrilege by not being caught up on all my game of thrones books. (I've read all the main series ones 2.5 x) but there are spin offs that I'm not done with set in the same universe. Just no time! If we want to see Aaliyah as this strong character she needs to overcome some adversity and thus the character grows, rather than just being a juggernaut of competence right from the get-go. Like shes being doubted, she messes up, she gets more doubted and upset that she is not living up to the full potential that she believes she has, then the "jedi master" part builds up in her over time. I like what I read a lot. I don't think I would immediately start off with the supernatural talk. I'd build up to that. It makes it seem more exciting than if you just start right off from the word go with 'werewolf'. I'd use a lot of beat-around-the bush description. A sense of mystery is present in almost all of the "literary quality" fantasy/horror books. Gives the readers something to guess about rather than say like star wars were they just explain everything clear as day. I do like how you have the dialog back and fourth discussions being "to the point". I would sprinkle in some atmosphere / adjectives about the surrounding environment so people feel like they are "there" rather than just the rough-and-ready brass tacks of the protagonists actions/statements. Having said all that I think you did a great job overall and having the focus to write a whole thing like that is HUGE! I know working on a creation and then "putting it out there" can be a bit stressful but you are doing a great job! Did you start out reading a lot of supernatural books and then at some point it just hit you to write or has this been a thing since you were a child?
