  1. I actually can't say I've noticed any changes at all. Like none. I'd say the board is running smoother but I think that has to do with our budget hosting randomness, rather than the board code. There might be things we just can't see because this is an old skin, and often elements that are added later won't show up as the 'skin layer' doesn't know how to render them. Thanks for all the help as always. ☆☆☆
  2. This is now badly pinned posts have the opposite effect of what you would think... they mostly just get ignored. Adjusted for time... pinned posts have the lowest view rates. I think the hypothesis is 1. People don't want to read anything detailed and pinned posts almost always are. 2. A pinned post (if there are many rather than just 1) people's minds register it as 'archival' rather than important, because there are so many. The kicker here is I myself fell pray to this. I totally want to read a post like this and some crazy how I just noticed it.
  3. Just noticed... all the share icons at the bottom? They work! I'm not being sarcastic. In the past they all had to be custom installed. Now I guess they figured out how to not have you manually set up all the BS.
  4. Really sucks. The silver lining is that for ONCE someone that is not a member of The Cult of the Entertainer as I call it gobbling up news cycles. People that contribute virtually nothing to mankind, in the long run, are like the new gods that when they pass it's like the end of the world. At least Hawking merits the attention.
  5. I'll be there but I don't get a card. I'll get mine whenever the sacred comming of the grand reprint happens. XD Gotta say I was in a piss poor mood and logging on here and seeing most all the regulars replying cheered me up.
  6. Neat. Kinda has a more smooth/calm Depeche Mode sound.
  7. Nice asymmetrical balance there. A lot of people don't get abstract art but there is a lot too it. (fine art major / art nerd from way back)
  8. That is cool. I was just thinking about all the OTHER 'military vehicles" that there are in Macross, I mean there is a TON but they don't ever seem to get much screen time. I used to have a book that had all the mechs and like half the book was non veritech fighters that were like walking artillery or machine guns that I was fascinated by. I'm not even sure what they were called. Battletech wins the 'variety of mechs' battle but they just don't have the cool style that Robotech (and Gundam) mechs have.
  9. Do you have a daily skin care regimen? If so what is it? Even just the "type" of stuff you use and in what order if not the brands and such.
  10. Cute puppy, I can't make out what kind of dog that is though. Having trouble even guessing. Really furry. Visual Kei Looks like a broad new (new to me that I never heard of even though its almost 40 years old) 'Japanese gothic" to me although they are so over the top about dress and more comfortable talking about death and androgyny (but strangely have tons of hangups we don't have) over there that there's like 50 different jap cosplay and musical genres that could fall under the term gothic. Funny thing is it has its early 80s origins in things like David Bowie and Punk Music... exactly the proto-goth stew that western goth came from. With, big shock... a more commercialized bent to it. hah.
  11. Thanks a ton to Tron, Sommer, Micheal, and Bobbi for the help and the donations and the effort. As usual, I can't express my thanks enough and often fail to just due to you know, damn life. *huge group hug*
  12. Yeah definitely understand and can identify. I have found other things that I would not have thought of or known about if I was "the old me" (the depression started around 2004). What i call 'mourning my past life' is a huge waste of time and just makes me more bummed out. But, I seem to do it anyway. I try to tell myself Rome wasn't built in a day and all I can do is 'manage' things for now. Try not to set my expectations too high (which I really hate but logically it's just pragmatic). The self-deprecation which I don't think I do TOO much has slowly added up though over years. I used to always be a "can do" type person, which some of that is still here despite being unrecognizable as my old iron-will troy, which I need to just let go of. All of that would be a pain in the ass that could be dealt with if there wasn't this added layer of being utterly flat broke which has nothing to do with it but casts a massive shadow over everything else.
