6 weeks now. Trying to do my best to keep the clan in contact. Feeling pretty isolated ish. Im volunteering you to install zoom. Thanks to the people that asked. I'll check this topic around 8pm every Wed and make cards for people that ask. With the understanding that you will show up at the gathering after this covid crap is over in some reasonable time frame. Not 2 years. 😈✊🤣

It's a great idea. The problem is DGN is dying due to lack of eyeballs. An off-site DGN specific resource would further it's decline. Same issue with the 'why no chat room?' From 10 years ago. If I had a(ton) more resources DGN would be very active and some sort of chat would make sense. DGN is meant to foster longer form conversation. (Currently Failing due to the same reason above). I have a 'House Spiral' discord which isn't DGN specific and covers much more so it wouldn't put the hurt on DGN specifically so much. But not currently pushing it. Maybe I should but I know I won't be able to be on it enough for it to be properly modded. Would be funny to see a mash up of Nerd / Catlover / Kink / LGBT / Goth / + Troy gives politics, science and science fiction hard sell in a chat room. WATCH BLACK MIRROR you heathens! Lol. An example of 'Real' (aka 'hard'Sci Fi) as opposed to Space Fantasy. Briefly used when more people were playing the Mobile Game Clash Royale (The Gathering folk) At the moment I'm struggling just to do the things I've already agreed to do and still put food and meds in my mouth. I'm furiously digging in the basement for anything I can sell so 'extra time' is at a minimum. Open to the idea though.

That's a good girl. (Correct me if this is not a way you'd like to be referred to. I mean it as a compliment at any rate. ). The loss of the the real-life gathering around here is pretty rough for several people. Not that its a gigantic group but every week for 4 years and now... this. Is a big change. Thanks for taking the time! I'm doing this partly to continue with a sense of continuity. Many of us now have even less structure than we did before. At least this will be something familiar. 😈✊😄

Maybe put it on the calendar on your phone or some such. It helped me for a long time.

About 20 people have suggested some variation of this over the last 3 weeks. Similar to an alternative to DGN itself back in the day or an alternative to the gathering itself previously. Many have already had such things. 10s of thousands have been suggesting similar ideas for the lack of human socializing in general. The devil is in the details and having it consistently. Many people get excited about ideas, actually keeping them going over time is the hard part. It takes 1. work 2. dedication 3. perseverance. The first one is the easiest.

Already in your pile... right here... under my monitor. Ha. At some point I need to make a "checklist" for the cards (and misc cards) and the pins. Make it more Pokemon card like. Not so much for you though , since you'll have all the stuff as it comes out. Although beware... I'm thinking about doing a card-pack thing with random glitter cards in them sort of like "foil rares" in Pokemon / magic the gathering. Not that it matters now, too few people would care vs how much work it would be to make new versions of 200+ cards lol .

Yes. Crazy how many guest stars from other shows keep popping up. Metatron took me awhile. to recognize Booger from revenge of the nerds. O.G. Nerd right there. lol Not only is Crowley from BSG also Gadreel. Keeps making me want to watch BSG again. If you haven't watched The Guild (where Charlie / Felicia Day is from) you'll want to. Its really fun / funny.

Still working on Supernatural. I'm on season 10 i think. Cass came back (again) and is now (again) re-powered up he and dean are currently using him to "help" figure out what is going on with the now earthbound angels and how to fix dean (again) and at some point thwart Booger I mean Metatron who I'm guessing is theoretically the "big bad" this season even though they didn't really state it as such.

What version? The USA version? Some crazy how I sat through that whole thing twice. I'm not sure what go into me. lol. Similarly long and funnier suggestions if you are 30 Rock and Boston Legal. I (used to) watch a TON and i mean a TON of comedy.

Singing is fun right? You might want to convert everything into YouTube format and then link to the YouTube. You won't get the immediate reaction like you do on starmaker but once you build up a catalog you'll start getting significant "YouTube watch time" (will take like a year probably) But then you'll have something that might actually generate a few bucks (eventually) and its not that much extra work. (not like editing video from multiple clips)

205 is/was the last 'Real' gathering. I'm going to continue making the cards before Thursday. I'll number them 205.xx1 205.xx2... Until we can have a real gathering again.
