So, youw ere treated... and are in fact still alive... My Canadian freind had a brain tumor. Thier ER sent her home with NO treatment. She waited for a year to get an appoint with a Neuro Surgeon. He sent her for tests... which she would have gotten.. had she not died on the 6 month waiting list for those tests. Fuck the Canadian health care system,

Legally? Nothing. Veto Executive Orders (This is how he expaned on the powers of the Patriot Act and Wire tapping) Appointments (This is how he got people in place at the Justice Department and FCC. The two that set the regualtions for most everythign you do) Pardons Impoundment (He can circumvent what Congress wants by denial of funds) Foreign Policy (You know, that thing he was sopposed to be good at that he is horribly failing at)

1. There is no opting out of Obamacare. You are either in it or paying fines... possibly doing time in prison. 2. If Obamacare is so perfect... Why is it bad to call it Obamacare? 3. Again, if it's so perfect, why has Obama given out 111 waivers... Most of which went to the Unions and Companys that backed this bill in the first place. 4. The Bush tax cuts, like the tax cuts before it, raised revenue. Get over Economics 101 and Kensington economics. Economics 201 has started... it's where you learn what works and what does not.

How exactly has she proven it? Most of the "stupid" things people qoute here as saying, such as "I can see Russia from my house", were in fact said by Tina Fay on Saturday night live. So, I'm a "racist neoconservative". Nice to know. People dislike Obama not because of the color of his skin... it's because he is an inexperianced, ineffective egotistical dolt who has no idea what he is doing. It could also be because he himself has said the he dislikes the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

What "has" to be done and what Democrats want to do are two different things. Democrats want to pass even more entitlements and raise taxes to pay for them in a bad reccession. What has to be done is spending needs some serious cuts. Social Security needs to be fixed ASAP. Medicaide and Medicare need to be fixed. The Health care overhaul needs to be tossed out before it kills this coutnry. It's not what we were told it was. Hence 111 waivers given out to unions nad corperations so they are excempt... Most of those were given to companys and unions that pushed hard to get the over haul passed.

We so agree on that one. -
1. It may just swing the other way... but I doubt it and most political analyst doubt it too. 2. If the largest swing in political power in almost 100 years is "small" to you.. what do you consider a "big" election. 3. Denial doesn't make things go away. Protesting and standing up for what you believe in is exactly what the Tea party has just done. It's exactly what you were saying Americans can't/won't do. There doesn't have to be severe property damage for a protest/movement to be real.

Troy.. I understand. I was really close to my father before he passed also. It's a very hard thing to deal with. Talking does help. Stay strong. -
Old news papers, the congressional record and history books. It's also where I learned that the President has no role in the Admendment Process. The first time Republicans tried to pass the 19th Admendment pass was in 1878. The effort was spearheaded by Republican Senator A. A. Sargent of California with the backing of Susam B. Anthony. Democrats held the majority in Senate. They voted it down. 4 times. In 1919 Republicans took control of the Senate. Both houses of Congress pass the resolution by May of that year. It was sent to the states. 36 States Ratified it. All but 10 were controlled by Republicans. Of the 9 states that voted against it... 8 were controlled by Democrats.

The leader of the republican party is a black man. Republicans were first to put a woman on the national ticket. And while we at it, it was republicans that fought to give women the right to vote... Just like they did with black people... After they abolished slavery that is. Get over your misinformed bigotry.
