  1. Due to some of the more "patriotic" posts I've made, I highly doubt anything shipped from this address would make it overseas! *e-mails Marc a grilled peanut butter, bacon, and banana sandwich (on wheat, of course-- gotta stay healthy)*
  2. It seems as if greyhalo, Megalicious, and I have gone into full 1950's house-mouse mode, due to the changing seasons. Cookies, candies, cakes, pies, and SOUP!!! Who thinks of cooking after 10 pm? WE DO!! My ex was making fun of me for wanting to make banana bread at one in the morning last week. At least I know I'm not alone! I just pulled brownies out of the oven. My house is warm, smells good, and my sweet tooth is satisfied. Bad idea? I say NO!!
  3. Defragmenting my computer, and baking chocolate fudge brownies. Just finished the dishes, and thinking about vacuuming. Wondering why I can't stay signed into my broadband, or Yahoo..weirdness.
  4. I'm Looking For Blue Eyes, By Jessi Colter-Jennings I'm Looking For Blue Eyes I’m looking for blue eyes Has anyone seen him Don’t you tell me He gave up on me I’m looking for blue eyes I’ve got to find him Cause something tells me He’s looking for me There was a time when blue eyes said he’d love no other His one and only love he swore I’d be There was a time when his blue eyes saw clearer than mine did Storms and rain, tears and pain, bring me back his way Looking for blue eyes Has anyone seen him No don’t you tell me He gave up on me I’m looking for blue eyes I’ve got to find him Cause something tells me He’s looking for me I’m looking for blue eyes Has anyone seen him
  5. I am always raving about my beloved "Vietnamese Iced Coffee." This tastes very similar to McDonald's or Dunkin' Donuts' iced coffee. I give you the receipt: Vietnamese Iced Coffee (two servings) 4 tablespoons finely ground dark roast coffee (I prefer the Louisiana favorite, "Community" Brand coffee, with chicory-- it has such a nice, deep, mellow flavour) Be sure your coffee is FRESH, or it will taste like old burlap. 4 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk!) 1 t. vanilla extract Ice cubes 2 tall ceramic coffee mugs 2 iced tea spoons Make the coffee, using just over 16 oz. of water in your drip coffeemaker. You want it nice and strong! Put about two tablespoons of the sweetened condensed milk and 1/2 t. of vanilla in the bottom of each tall ceramic coffee mug, then pack the remainder with ice. Pour the hot coffee over all, and stir until mixed with the long spoon. Voil'a! You may add more sweetened condensed milk, or vanilla if you like. A tablespoon or so of Whaler's vanilla rum, or Bärenfang, are also nice additions-- if you happen to have those things around. Drink up, my pretties..
  6. THE BEST Mexican food in Waterford is at the EL Patio Restaurant, at the corner of Williams Lake Rd. and M-59. The food is fresh, hot, and authentic northern Mexican. The service is nothing less than excellent. This joint has the most awesome Chiles Rellenos. The beans and rice are homemade-- none of that Goya converted-rice crap. If you want a good burger, the Pontiac Lake Inn STILL has the best. The GIGANTIC one-pound PLI burger will easily feed one really hungry man, or two hungry ladies. It comes cooked to order, and with all the trimmings.
  7. Aggravated with this CREEP who keeps sending me pm's through YIM, and asking how tall I am. That's all he ever asks. He's been doing this for years, now. I have replied and come unglued on the guy, had others send him pm's, tried ignoring him, and have reported him to Yahoo, but nothing has worked to get rid of this weirdo. P.S. If anyone has some spare time, leave this weirdo a few weird messages: paultm_2008 Ask him how tall HE is, or something!
  8. Oddly abandoned by the guy I was with in my dreams all night. Why is it-- I can feel so open and vulnerable towards a stranger I dream about, whom I know will disappear the moment I open my eyes? Falling for people I meet in the astral plane is torture, but it seems the only place I can find guys who are "right in time." I am ready to leave the restraint of my body, and evolve, when the time comes.
  9. Creating one of the most awesome desserts that ever was.. I think I'm onto something here. This is a possible bake-off entry. ..and NO, I won't need to use baby ear medicine to foil the judges!
  10. I wonder if I follow Kai Kai, will she notice..? *slips on tabi boots and pulls down masque*

  11. Trying to figure out which one of my neighbors has a Nextel phone. It keeps beeping, and it sounds just like it's inside the house with me, in spite of all my windows being closed. It's driving me ape-shit!!!! Makes me want to put on my tin hat.
  12. Home Sweet Home, '91 Remix from "Decade Of Decadence" Love this video.
  13. I'm feeling absolutely, incredibly HORRIBLE. I hate when my "aunt" comes to visit. Not real fond of her dog Spot, either. I need rest, and lots of it.. Now, there is a touch of annoying to add to my pain-- I've just come to the realization I have a yellow sac spider bite, at the end joint of my left pinky finger (on the pad, right at the crease)! It itches and burns like mad!!!
  14. Watching the fire, Listening to Aaron Neville, Eating a gigantic nova lox, chive and onion cream cheese on wheat bagel sandwich, Drinking a cup of cocoa, ..and baking an apfelkuchen. My kind of RELAXING multi-tasking.
  15. Someone to show up with a couple bottles of mead. I'm craving it terribly!
  16. Snuggling with a whitey-cat by the fireplace.. Edit: Huh, it won't let me post a pic. Guess I'll post it later.
  17. Trying to wake up gracefully-- I'm getting myself adjusted for the upcoming daylight savings.
  18. Watching a movie, dozing, and wishing I had some sushi or carpaccio. Yes, I know-- my chance of satisfying this craving for raw meat at midnight on a weekday is a longshot. Sometimes, I wish I lived someplace a bit more civilized again, where there are actually 24 hour ethnic restaurants that deliver.
  19. Sirloin burger sliders, with lots of grilled onions and homemade remoulade sauce ( I eat it on everything), on whole-wheat dinner rolls.
  20. GPS devices are helpful for driving in an unfamiliar city at night, and interstate travel. As for hiking/country road trips/snowmobiling/ATVing/etc., nothing beats a well-researched trail map (such as one would use for an off-road rally), a compass, and general knowledge of the four directions. An understanding of traditionally-used trail markers can be helpful, as well.
  21. No worries, my friends-- they probably think we're restaurant critics! I belong to the "table for one" club, as well. It's taken a long time to get acclimated, as I was always accustomed to eating with company.
  22. Thinking about ordering a Shaggy-and -Scooby type pizza, with all sorts of weird stuff on it, and watching a few free movies online..

  23. Fixing to go out into the rain to the woodpile, to grab the last few decent-size logs for tonight. This fire sure feels good on such a damp, cold evening.
  24. Meh..it's going. It's a lonesome, rainy night here.
