its like they decided to jump the shark... not even an accident. They said... how can we take a great film and remake it as absolute crap? They brainstormed and did everything they could to destroy the idea... I am also inclined to believe that the writer/director/producers of this film some how managed to give Patrick Swayze brain cancer as well.

Hey all its been a while... The few times I have made it back to CC, I have not seen anyone i recognized (or had anyone recognize me). I guess Im getting old enough that I am several "scenes" back. I outgrew my goth/industrial clothes... so that might have been a factor. I think looking like a nicely dressed undercover cop probably made people shy away (no Im not a cop of any kind). I might come out more, but not knowing anyone anymore added to not knowing any of the new music makes for a really boring night. Zhuk

One aspect of these "polls" "they" like to ignore is that only really old people answer their landlines. More and more it only old people who have land lines and old people tend to be the most conservative. They are not always indicative of the entire population and total opinion percentages. I saw them "recently" when they opened up for Ministry (back during the bush years... or was it Hanzel und Gretyl). TKK was one of my favorite bands in the early 1990s. I saw them every time they came through Detroit or Toledo. When I saw them recently, it was truly truly terrible. Groovy Man was sooooooooo old (like Keith Richards Drug old), that he could not sing. it was pitiful. It was as bad as the one Geriatric professor with Alzheimer's that the University will not fire. Just sayin'

I remember them being good most of the times I saw them in the early 1990s (with TKK or LOA).... though I was probably drunk. The best show they did was the one where their DAT tape broke and the concert ended... Zhuk

As much as I would like to visit the Ukraine, I think I will pass on visiting Pripyat at least in person. I have seen a number of videos taken by people who are braver than I, it is very erie looking. I have to admit that although I fear the radiation, I would be more afraid of being killed by one of the hoards of wild boars that run wild in there and are not afraid of people or anything else.... at least if I got killed by too many Rads, it would not be as silly as being killed by giant, possibly mutant pigs on a rampage (due to no humans in the area) WPD

I dont agree that they were terrorists or goths. Reasons they were not goths: 1. Absolutely no resemblance to Azreal Abyss. 2. They had no idea who John Koviak is (and definitely never called his house and had his mother wake him up for no good reason). 3. Black Trench Coats do not a goth make. 4. They did not listen to Siouxsie Sioux 5. They were "allegely bowling". Everyone knows that Charlie Don't Surf and Goths Don't Bowl. 6. Plenty of people listen to Marilyn Manson and play "Doom" who are not goth. Reasons they were not Terrorists 1. Terrorists have a political agenda and their actions seek to further it. (They did not have any such ideas) 2. Terrorist actions seek to cause a reaction which will further their goals (They just wanted revenge) 3. Terrorists are usually part of a larger network trying to further something (not the case here) 4. Terrorists are usually not on whack doses of experimental psychoactive drugs because their parents dont feel like actually raising them. 5. Terrorists dont usually start being terrorists in High school (thats what college is for) 6. Terrorists dont go and get really nerdy looking yearbook photos (try and find a yearbook photo of me...) Russia is broke. Period. The only other western military that is doing as poorly as the Russians is Greece. The greeks, who just defaulted on their new submarine fleet, got sued by germany who is repossessing said submarines. The Russians cant afford to buy their army new tanks to replace the ones they built in the 1980s. And as for budgets... increasing your budget by any given percentage means nothing if you original amount was peanuts to begin with. (Increasing $6 by 600% is meaningless). Contex is the most important part of a budget, not the raw numbers. Zhuk
