Their last 2 visits to the USA (in 2008 and in 2009) proved that their momentum is as strong as ever and with a new album "Popgefahr" released in March, 2010, they're ready to return to North America for the "Legends of Synthpop" tour. After releasing the limited edition single for Only Better in October of 2009, the band followed it up with a European tour and a brand new album, A Perfect Solution. Over the years, the project morphed from the more industrial sounds of the past to the catchy electropop they make today. Their latest album, Stars Burning Out, shows a collection of songs that are tailored to include an emotional thread throughout, yet still forceful enough at times to make people dance. On stage, D:Konstruct bring that same emotion and a positive energy for maximum effect. Currently, the band are playing shows to promote Stars Burning Out and working toward their next release. Visit D:Konstruct on the web: www.dkonstruct.net PULSE STATE Pulse State started in the late 90's as an emotional outlet for the Detroit based musician Mike Phipps, who also uses Pulse State as a pseudonym. Moving through different electronic styles during its lifetime, Pulse State spent most of its time making EBM/electropop, culminating in the debut album, With a Single Step (2008). Recently, the project has headed into a more dark wave or Gothic approach with more solemn and introspective lyrics, but still retains enough of the catchy electropop sound that the project has refined over the years. It is expected that 2011 will finally deliver this next, darker chapter in the Pulse State story. Having a passion for music, Elektrosonik has been an avid music collector since the late 80s/early 90s. Early influences began with industrial rock including such great bands as Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, KMFDM, and Ministry. That quickly branched into a good portion of the band rosters from various music labels including WaxTrax, Cleopatra, and Zoth Ommog. As the scene evolved, so did his eagerness to expand his musical tastes. Currently, he finds himself enjoying most subgenres of the scene ranging from synthpop to heavy EBM. 2. I'm looking forward to this, lots of great talent in one of the best concert venues in the Detroit area. Really curious to see who the surprise guests are going to be.
  3. Definitely need to get more people out to this! There wont be anything next Thursday, but the 7th will be the show with Cervello Elettronico and Detune-X than Resist goes weekly after that.
  4. Oh wow that sounds awesome. Haven't heard Sister Machine Gun or Chemlab in a club in forever. Will try to make it out to this if I can afford it.
  5. Yea I'm curious to know how it was too. Are they still releasing new music? I saw Christian Death about 10 years ago, Mortiis opened for them at St. Andrews. The Mortiis show was amazing, the main reason I went, but Christian Death not so much. Don't really like anything they put out since the Rozz era anyway. Ended up leaving after a few songs from their set.
  6. Yea, figured I'd come out finally and see what's shakin at the New Way Bar. Hoping I can get Thursdays off from now on, looks like that's the place to be with all these events lately.
  7. MOTHERFUCKING function13, damn straight. Looking forward to this! WHO is going??!? btw check the stream of the new single (to be released soon) here http://function13.bandcamp.com/track/what-do-you-mean Make sure you check out the past releases as well. Phase 3 of function13 is in full effect.
  8. Oh yea, well than that's 2 shows then it was that cold. I forget the other show, was back in 03 maybe. Yea, a lot of drinking that night :D
  9. LOL!! Well, I don't think there's ever a chance the Lab will be resurrected ever. Not sure what happened to Mephistos, but Lab should have been shut down way before it was. I remember getting rained on by asbestos from the ceiling while setting up for a Cruxshadows show. Or another show in the wintertime once where there was no heat, and no running water at all. And of course the place was always somewhat flooded when we started load in. At the G.A.R. building we will be flooding the place and disabling the bathrooms only once a month for a special Lab Appreciation Night. We will also advertise doors at 9 but then make sure to have technical difficulties to make you wait outside till after 10 to be let in.
  10. That's untrue, now don't go starting rumours. We are already aware of the Jon Noble pen-stabbing threat, we will be doing away with the old pen/clipboard style of requesting. We will be implementing a digital touchscreen request system at the booth. Alternately you can also request songs from your iPhone with the new iDummkopftag app available soon. Anyone caught with a pen in the club will be deemed a threat to Sceneland Security and ejected from the scene entirely.
  11. I would think the Rozz Williams bit was more of a 'dead' giveaway LOL. At least Rudy is still alive, just refuses to play live anywhere ever, even over in Germany. And I believe Suicide Commando refuses to fly in an airplane. Luckily we were able to ressurect Rozz, convince Rudy to play here, and arrange for Johann to arrive in the US. Also Deathkey.
  12. This is a joke?!? Now wtf are we going to do with this zombie Rozz??
  13. Actually, it would be the first EVER live performance of Wumpscut in the US. He said he wouldn't play unless it was in a castle in Detroit. He thought it would never happen! He will also re-release his entire catalog every month up until opening night just to celebrate. The Department of Sceneland Security is excited for the new office, officers are hard at work building the scene as we speak. I am VERY happy to add to this announcement, the opening night will be the first ever DEATHKEY at an industrial nightclub.
  14. Agreed, D:Konstruct was awesome when they played there on the 11th. This is going to be an amazing show. I'll make sure no one messes with the equipment on the stage or causes any trouble, the Department of Sceneland Security will be putting this venue under tight surveilance for serious
  15. We have been doing shows there for a long time and is by far the best small venue we have worked with. Things are run very well there and we have never had a problem. What is your problem with Small's?
  16. This show just got better, as D:Konstruct will be the opening act!
  17. Small's is a million times better than Lab and that other place in Hamtramck. This is going to be an epic show for serious.
