  1. About to do some banking stuff, run a couple errands after the bank (credit union), dive into a compare and analysis between SPHD and SPYD. May switch from one to the other, was originally passively looking at a replacement for UEVM, but found a possible replacement for SPHD instead. After that, I may finally be able to get to updating the PLTR thread. That company has their hand in every possible sector of the market. It's insane. I can't learn about every single sector. And prepping a weekend birthday party for Feral kid. This will be interesting as this kid likes to gnaw on the dining room table during dinner and laugh about it.
  2. A bit burned out. I spent any spare time this weekend reading about Palantir, Robinhood, and even a bit on Hudson. I posted what I found on Hudson, but my Palantir notepad is a monumental mess that I can't be arsed with today. I got other things to do anyway.
  3. Sitting on my first shift, realizing there is going to be a lot of idle time on this job most likely. Taking this opportunity to look up some things, and possibly find some reading material.
  4. Granted, but it's from a trucker gas station stop..the expiration date looks fudged, and the garnish on it doesn't look like it was added by the chef at the time of preparation. It is recommended you drink plenty of saki beforehand for sanitization reasons before bravely eating the sushi. I wish I had charts that went forward in time by at least a year 😂
  5. Digging up more on Palantir today.. my god so much going on with that company. If I am to cut a play early, it will likely be HOOD. It has the highest % growth so far, and I can switch over to more Palantir from the profits if I want. Just not until after the end of March, if it keeps going, so be it, but I won't have time to keep up with the DD every week.
  6. I might not have the time to manage both swings soon. Starting a full time job this upcoming week. Now just trying to figure out which one I should cut early.
  7. Today was unbelievably busy. Wrapping up all loose ends before the weekend hits. A lot of back and forth from Dr's and pharmacy over the phone hunting for a medication to be in stock somewhere. Got it delivered and arrives tomorrow. Back to the grind soon enough, at least things finally happened in time before I start.
  8. I literally stumble into weird ass situations like this STILL in life. I think it's my sense of humour. I can tell you I really would rather not though. How much do taxes typically cost anyway? I got a bit more than just the standard W-2 now. Maybe I can also get $100 back for each orgasm I give her? I mean if she can really hook it up with a bigger return, I might actually do this. Otherwise I'm thinking of just going to liberty taxes.
  9. I was just offered to get my taxes done for dick as payment by a tax lady. I mean... fuck... uhm... 20 years ago i wouldn't even be debating this..... how do i bloody find these people?!
  10. I think mine had something to do with testosterone levels. Early on, in my teens and early 20's, deodorants barely lasted 8 hours. Late 20's to early 30's, deodorant would last as long as I took daily showers. Now in my late 30's early 40's, deodorant will last two days. And daily showers will leave me smell free for about 18 hours after each shower. The lower these levels get, the more human I feel. It's allowed me to evolve from some smelly and feral psycho to a calm quiet and sensible psycho all around. But the stench has gone down significantly.
  11. Feeling pretty uplifted. Woke up to a WhatsApp message from a friend I haven't heard from since the start of the year. Seems a visit is in order for the next time I go to England.
  12. Getting kids breakfast, and going to try to finish required forms for a security gig before I video chat my wife's family from England for the kids. Then it's onto learning all about Palantir as a next possible swing to see if I'm not already late to that party. Been hearing some hype about them on Twitter and they've been standing out to me. I want to know what they know.
  13. I absolutely hate laundry to the point I would perform morally questionable sexual favors for anyone that washes, dries, and folds it all up for me.
  14. Taking time while my mom has the kids today, to look up more on Robinhood, and Palantir possibly as I've seen some action that may have them as a possible swing. So far for $HOOD, 26 March is liley their credit card. They've also done a few partnerships with crypto wallets, and partnerships with 401k companies that would let employees manage their 401k from the Robinhood App. There seems to be a strong resistance past $16.60, but support seems to be slowly rising where it likely won't go below $16, especially with all the institutions holding over 90% of shares. Everything seems to be set for a huge rise, but I won't believe it until I see it.
  15. Thinking this pull back from $HOOD was healthy. It felt right, it didn't sink too low, and is on a slow increase since. I am now up 50% on my position. Over 90% of the stock is owned by institutions at this point. It's slowly going up again. Thinking nothing will make it suddenly move higher or lower until First Quarter Earnings. I'm expecting them to have more earnings than 4th quarter, and possibly beat whatever the expectations for their 1st are. Just waiting until the earnings come in a couple months.
  16. Robinhood just broke past $15 this morning at open. I feel like this. Also still not selling.
  17. No filter... I'm having an incredible itch to get a job that pays a high hourly wage due to shitty hours. I want to do this for 60 hours a week. It's a reason why I was getting fed up with my last job, they started cutting everyone's hours. But due to being a dad, this isn't possible... So... I want a stay at home onlyfans girlfriend. And not for pervert reasons. Let her take the kids to daycare while I sleep, I pick them up, spend time with them, and go off to work once I put them to bed. And she can make money while I'm at work and kid's asleep by fingering her butthole. We stack cash, throw it in the market, retire in 3 years, go out separate ways. But I want to stack some serious money that isn't available doing 9-5 jobs.
  18. Aside from actively wanting to stay single, I find myself getting feels for the most elusive people. My crush is a friend from the UK. We have each other's numbers, Facebook, etc. But I hardly hear from her. And Everytime she does send a message, it's sincere but then she's gone again for another few months. Guess it's better to have feels for someone unavailable rather than someone who is if I want to stay single. 😂. But for real, catching feels in general is annoying as fuck, at least I catch em for people that are highly unlikely to date. Silver linings.
  19. Wow Firefox is letting me quote again! Yay! And that's where my thoughts were too. Like Twitter is good, but also horrible at the same time. One wrong tweet in the process of learning and you are liable to get dragged hard. And the ignorance of some in the finance community too. Hard to tell what direction to take at first. But a smaller and more relaxed setting would be great for people just doing this passively. Less elitism too. That's another thing that bothers me about fintwit, feckin EVERYONE is beating the S&P500 on there. Just so much noise and static on there. DGN could be like our own little quiet study group in the corner of the library while Twitter is some vapid pep rally in the gym. I'm all about sharing ideas, learning more, being corrected when I'm wrong, etc without all that public humiliation that Twitter offers. Just let me know if you are actually planning on making a topic for this, otherwise I can just start topics in other stuff.
  20. Thinking of starting a new thread. Something if a general financial take, like places that may offer high yield savings accounts, any stocks anybody may have an interest in, collaborate due diligence, etc. So I'm not thread jacking shit. Just don't know what category it would fit best in.
  21. Yeah, I started with UEVM (A USAA ETF) it's dividends vary. Seems none for Jan or Feb if this year, but that's on track with what I'm used to. SPHD is my 2nd holding, it's dividends are far more consistent. This year is JEPQ and their dividends are decent with plenty of exposure to NVDA, and other big tech stocks. Also HOOD as a swing play to see it can't squeeze out a few hundred extra to sit and collect extra interest in my cash account. It what keeps me chill while I still hunt for the next job.
  22. Bloody hell! LMAO. I'm beginner at best. Most of my holdings are in ETFs that pay out monthly dividends. 2nd most is just cash on the sidelines earning a 5% APY, and HOOD is my first real attempt at a swing play. Now I'm looking at stocks like NVDA and thinking I could be doing better. If I just bought two shares of NVDA 3 months ago, I would be up by about $400, and I could have bought 20 of them back then. Instead, I chose to keep periodically putting that cash into my ETFs. I know I could do better, but this is also me applying what I've learned so far. I work with what I know, and learn through more experience, maybe some day in a couple years from now I'll be making sharper decisions like with NVDA. Until then, I'm steady holding, letting it sit on the back burner.
  23. Thinking about just taking the profits and moving on from $HOOD. A huge portion of their revenue is from rates that the Fed will likely be cutting this year.
  24. I am able to have both kids in daycare today for the first time this week without one or both being home sick. I am also not sick. Did grocery shopping finally, cleaned up some areas, and about to go do laundry.
  25. $HOOD did better than anticipated. Not selling my position yet, but now $SOFI is on my radar. Vanguard just bought a huge position in them. What do they know that I don't, how long of a wait do I have to partake if I do enter a position, I wonder. Time to do some research.
