Wow, I must tell you it all depends on taste. A GENERAL rule of thumb is, you get what you pay for. I can't bloody stand 5 O'Clock Vodka. Absolute is alright... but lately my tastes have been craving rum. Captain Morgan is a safe choice for rum, not the best, but still a very safe choice. If you're a sick fuck like me who drinks scotch as well, Johnny Walker... red and black are so so.. but if you've the money for it, get the green or blue label.. it'll be worth it trust me.
For beer, My tastes are snooty, I don't like domestic, keep that shit away from me. Killians is a very good beer, you'll either love it or hate it, but if it's the alcohol punch your going for, Molson XXX. It's at 7.3% alc content. There's other beers that surpas that, like Camo, but that shit takest like a flat Bush Beer. There's a town a bit north of where I'm at called Frankenmouth, there's a bunch of smaller and local brewmeisters that make beer for sale in that town, you can find alot of good stuff. Like i said though, depends on your tastes, hops, malt, ect, and how much you're willing to spend. It's a trial and error up there, but I seldom ever leave that place without finding a good beer. And that's the ONLY domestic stuff I like. If it's big brand, it best be somewhere other than USA.
