I had a friend who dated a sex offender. He SEEMED normal, successful...he was lying...she paid the 30 bucks AFTER THEY GOT SERIOUS, she did a background check.... thing is, his sex offender past is FREE.....go here...if your getting serious with someone, couldn't hurt. class 3 and 4 are bad. Usually force is involved. 1-2 may be just kissing a 16 yr old when your 20 or something...peeping in windows. Which leads to creepier things but yah...I am betting this ladies bf did it. http://www.mipsor.state.mi.us/ http://www.nsopw.gov/Core/OffenderSearchCr...Aspx?Advanced=1

heehee detroit made the list today DETROIT (May 27) -- An agent used surveillance cameras to confirm a smelly suspicion: Someone had been urinating in a freight elevator at an Internal Revenue Service data center in Detroit. Skip over this content Authorities filed a criminal charge Tuesday against Michael Hicks. In an affidavit, treasury agent Delmaria Scott said she interviewed Hicks in January 2008 and he admitted urinating in the elevator for months. Scott said Hicks did it "because he felt he could get away with it." It cost $4,600 to clean the elevator. Hicks, who was a contract employee at the IRS, was charged with damaging federal property. A defense lawyer was not listed. Gina Balaya, a spokeswoman for prosecutors, says the government was unsuccessful in trying to resolve the case without a criminal charge

Search Intensifies for Nevaeh Buchanan Updated: Wednesday, 27 May 2009, 11:33 AM EDT Published : Wednesday, 27 May 2009, 11:03 AM EDT MONROE, Mich. - More than 100 members of a task force comprised of local and federal law enforcement agencies are working to find a 5-year-old Monroe girl whose disappearance three days ago is being investigated as an abduction. Monroe County Sheriff Tilman Crutchfield said during a news conference Wednesday morning that his office as well as the FBI and others are staffed 24 hours a day trying to locate Nevaeh Buchanan. Meanwhile, FOX 2's Taryn Asher has learned that Michigan State Police cadaver dogs are searching two separate stone quarries in the Monroe-area for the missing girl. This comes after FOX 2 first reported Tuesday night that police are testing the blood found on a fishing knife belonging to George Kennedy, the boyfriend of Nevaeh's mother. Sources say it is human blood and the MSP crime lab is currently conducting tests to determine whether the blood is Nevaeh's or not. Kennedy is a convicted sex offender and police say he is currently a person of interest being held on a parole violation. FOX 2 has also learned another man is being questioned, but they are not releasing information about his identity. Nevaeh last was seen Sunday evening in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Monroe, 40 miles south of Detroit. All 180 units in the apartment have been searched.

Dangerous & Safe Web Searches Information from McAfee Updated: Wednesday, 27 May 2009, 6:59 AM EDT Published : Wednesday, 27 May 2009, 6:34 AM EDT SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Some of the riskiest searches on the Internet today are associated either with finding items for free, such as music or screensavers, or looking for work that can be done from home, according to Internet security company McAfee, Inc . Using these search categories to lure unsuspecting consumers to their Web sites, hackers and cybercriminals are often able to persuade searchers to download files carrying malicious software that can lead to consumers exposing their personal and financial data. McAfees report on The Webs Most Dangerous Search Terms describes how cybercriminals maximize their profits by seeking the largest pool of possible victims with popular search terms about current events, gadgets and celebrities. During the recession, McAfee has observed a growing number of malicious search results targeted at people who want to save money or earn extra income working at home. Cybercriminals are smart, said Jeff Green, senior vice president of McAfees Product Development & Avert Labs. Like sharks smelling blood in the water, hackers will create related Web sites laden with adware and malware whenever a particular topic increases in popularity. Unsuspecting consumers are then tricked into downloading malicious software that leads them to blindly hand over their personal assets to cybercriminals. McAfee researched more than 2,600 popular keywords (as defined by Google Zeitgeist, Yahoo! Buzz and others sources) to assess the degree of risk for each. Maximum Risk refers to the maximum percentage of risky sites a user might encounter on a single page of search results. As defined by McAfee, the riskiest set of keyword variations was screensavers with a maximum risk of 59.1%. Nearly six out of the top 10 search results for screensavers contain malware. One of the single riskiest search term in the world is lyrics, with a maximum risk factor of one in two. Surprisingly, searches using the word Viagra, a popular keyword that is also common in spam email messages, yielded the fewest risky sites. Searches with the safest risk profile included health-related terms and searches about the current economic crisis. Penny-Pinchers and Home Workers Beware Consumers looking to save money, and/or searching for means of additional income, should take note. Searchers clicking on results that contain the word free have a 21.3% chance of infecting their PCs with online threats, such as spyware, spam, phishing, adware, viruses and other malware. And work from home searches can be as much as four times riskier than the average risk for all popular terms as illustrated by this table: Search Term | Maximum Risk Free work from home | 40.0% Work from home for free | 40.0% Work from home free | 40.0% Work from home ideas | 25.0% Free work from home jobs | 20.0% Elsewhere in the World Outside of the U.S. popular keyword categories were often significantly riskier than those popular in the U.S. 14 countries had keyword categories that exposed users to a higher maximum risk than what McAfee identified on average, including the Czech Republic (14.2%) and Brazil (12.1%). And 12 countries were overall riskier than the average, including Mexico (1.9%) and India (1.8%). This could be early evidence of a troubling new trend of scammers targeting non-US victims.

I wish I had something positive to contribute. Until my mom goes away (she will be here for a few weeks) I may just lock myself up so I don't murder someone. -
