  1. Argh. He's coming to Denver (to the wonderful Tattered Cover, no less), but during a time I have to be at work. And I have no benefit time left. :( Ah, well.
  2. I'm done arguing with you. You're presenting ridiculous statements with no support. I already said "Provide me a link to something supporting this that isnt backed by NAMBLA", and you havent. A five minute search in google finds thousands of references refuting your claim. If you refuse to debate in a rational manner, then I have nothing further to say to you on the matter.
  3. Fact? Seriously? Again, you're proving your ignorance. There's been scientific brain study on chemical reactions of male and female brain patterns. There's also been study showing what then were thought to be male/female chemical brain pattern and reactions in members of the sex opposite to what those reactions were patterned to. That research is going a long way to proving homosexuality could be hard wired into a brain. Pedophaelia is not a sexual preference. Apples and oranges, dude. We arent talking sex/gender, we're talking age. That's like saying a preference or obsession with redheads is a sexual preference that people are born with. Your argument is absurd. And calling it fact without some form of arguemental proof? Show me some studies that arent sponsored by NAMBLA, k?
  4. The openers were Beryl Beloved and Disaffected. I guess they were both local bands. I have to say, I wasn't terribly thrilled with Beryl Beloved. Firstly, the makeup looked more appropriate for a death metal band. I'm never really thrilled with that kind of makeup to begin with. Secondly, the singer was terribly flat on pretty much every single song in their set. I'm not running out to buy their CD any time soon. Disaffected sat completely on the other end of the spectrum. They were polished, professional, and HARD AS FUCK. And the singer didn't sound like indecipherable growly crap doing it, either. They were quite good, and one of their promo people was passing out some sort of free promotional CD during their set. They've actually gained a new fan, I think. Oooooooooh, TBM. It is a very rare thing when one can say a band is better live than on the CD. They were a lot harder live than on the album. It was a treat. They played eerything I hoped they would, and parts of the new album, which will be out September 14th. Pins and Needles is an awesome song. I met Chibi afterward, the whole band did a signing after the show, and every one of them were wonderful, gracious people. I slipped her one of my little pendants, too. She thought it was awesome. Heeheehee.
  5. HOLYFUCKINGSHITSOPUMPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Some people need a fucking stomping.
  7. Done. Off the page, though, do one of those Event pages, where people can actually send "Invitations", and I think you'll get more hits, and more people will remember during the dates to go.
  8. If youve a facebook event page for the it, I can help with crossposting/sending invites.
  9. Now you're being willfully ignorant. Paedophilia is not a 'condition' people are born with. It is a psychological disorder, and a crime.
  10. So basically you're saying gay people are no better than animals, and its absurd to think that any animals would marry, so why allow gay people? Because honestly, thats what it looks like that position is expressing.
  11. Still missing the point. And the fact that anyone can put gay marriage in the same equation as pedophilia makes a strong statement about that person's thinking. You're (not you, Gaf) making a moral judgment placing the two on equal footing, and again, I think that's incredibly bigoted and sad. I also think attempting to create footing in an argument using a moral judgment as though you're making an intellectual judgment is sad for the state of rhetoric these days as well.
  12. I'm not surprised at the reactions this is getting in the city of New York. It's not an easy situation, but at the least, the mayor and the president should understand why this isn't --to say the least--a tasteful decision.
  13. Crummy. Like I miss my michigan friends.
  14. Look out, your bigotry is showing.
  15. Wow... Kinda reminds me of bigotries past that were once 'socially accepted'. Makes me wonder... Would the reactions be the same if the proposal was banning interracial marriage? How about women's right to vote? Or the right for black people to vote? Because we all know how absurd it is to allow women to vote, they can't be responsible for that sort of decision. They cant decide their own destinies, can hardly expect them to decide the country's destiny. And interracial marriage? May as well marry a person to a car. Now tell me I'm wrong. Sounds eerily familiar, doesnt it?
  16. I'd read something that said it wasnt supposed to be a mosque, but a cultural center. I dont remember where I saw that. Anyone else happen to stumble across that?
