Nothing new to online communities, but I haven’t seen it here. Personally, I think the replies here will be especially interesting.
The rules are simple. Make a wish. The next person will grant it, only with an additional unforeseen outcome. Extra points for creativity. Then make your own wish.
I shall start.
I wish I were independently wealthy and didn't have to work.
*edited to add the make your own wish part*
Because knowing this about when you were younger teaches us small piece what you are now.
Boy did I just sound like the Sphinx from Mystery Men or what?
George Takei let it slip on Howard Stern last week that he was spoken to about a cameo appearance, and that William Shatner was not. Interesting how the Star Trek makers cant stand dealing with him anymore.
and a huge wOOt wOOt!!! for the new movie BTW.
Yes, over the years, I've got a canoe, a working air compressor, a large fish tank, a nice slide for my daughter and probably some things I don't remember.
What was your favorite television show from the eighties, and how do you feel about it now?
You are welcome to to borrow my copy if you ever want to. Krakauer also wrote Into Thin Air, which is an amazing account of the '96 Everest disaster (he was there while it happened doing a story for Outside). Lesser known, but much more controversial is Under the Banner of Heaven. The book examines extremes fundamentalist offshoots of Mormonism. Havn't read it yet, but it's on my list.
Not the Marquette part, but I could probably handle the Houghton part again. There are things I miss about the UP, but then there would be things I would miss about Detroit.
Sitting where you are right now, how many electronic devices are within 5 feet?
Yes. I went to MTU in Houghten for 3.5 years, and lived in Marquette for 6 months.
Does it surprise you I survived with minimal emotional scaring? (and was only chased with torches and pitchforks twice)
