Heard from a little Nightgaunt birdie that this thread popped up. 😄 I'm 48, and was active on the board when I was in my early 30's. The format feels different now than it did then, even though its not. "It's not you, its me." 🤣 Just reading this thread, though, has me feeling like I don't know when I'll be back. I want to want to, but in this thread alone there was so much "big D" energy, and people getting off on being labled as pains in the butt, I honestly don't know if I can take it. The "I'm too old for this sh#t" energy is alive and well within me. Popping back on again as all the older members do, I think has a lot to do with nostalgia. We want to feel the same about it all as we did, but maybe thats just not possible anymore. We're all different. And this is where I'll stop because I'll just keep rambling otherwise. **darkkeeses**

This is the saddest song I've heard in a long time. Makes me tear up, and puts me in my happy "sad place." The video is bloody rotten, though. Aguilera in all her posing glory....yawn. Hell yeah!! Awesome sound, and I totally dig it! AND it sounds kick ass just the way it is.

The body is a vessel in which we operate within this world. When someone is so sick that the vessel in which they operate is nonfunctional, they should be allowed to make that decision. I see what you're saying regarding mental health, and of course, its a much more complicated issue. If someone's mental health is leading them to a world of pain, first of all, society is going to say that they are "unfit" to make that decision due to mental health issues. Second, for me anyway, I'd rather have that person stick around, given that their vessel is fully functional, to try and be treated. It may hurt, but there's still a chance for things to get better, for them to enjoy life, and for them to be productive in society. If we start saying its ok for people with mental health issues to be assisted in suicide, then that opens the door for all kinds of people to take an "easy" way out.

You got away, and its not your job, even though you have the biggest heart around, to try to warn, or "be there" for the fiancee'. If you want an emotional wife, and if you want to deal with that asshole more that you already have to, then dive right in. You have enough on your soul and spirit, though, so I would let the adults be adults, and take care of their own mess. Sometimes it takes us 2 weeks, sometimes 10 years to realize the good guys from the fuckers. How long it takes her is her bag, not yours. Focus on yourself! Be there for YOU!! I'm not sure if I want to be scattered so no trace is left, or if I want to be in an urn that's also a novelty which has my recorded voice saying a variety of phrases when you push the button. I rather like that idea. Possible recordings would include "Fuck you," "Aren't you just precious," "I say go for it," "what are you thinking idiot," "well it ain't going to clean itself," and "get out there, times a wastin'." lol Damn, those sound like country songs.
