While its not as bad as having kids do a "pedophilia, no, no, no" song, to me its kind of going in the same direction. Some things ya just don't sing about all happy like!

The fact that this direct connection was based on one study with only 12 children involved is absurd. As far as vaccines go, in general, I'm against them. There are too many uncertainties that are involved, and things that go wrong. With the last onslaught of the whole H1N1 vaccine, I remember seeing a couple of stories about how some of the vaccines dispensed were not even strong enough. My old boss also had a very sad, and painful experience when her sister died when they were younger from side effects that happened after she received a vaccine. Her sister lost all control of her body, and required total care for a couple of years. The family searched for years, and met with countless doctors to find out what was wrong. All signs pointed to the vaccine, but they could never prove it. About 18 years after she died, the family got a letter stating that the vaccine she received was from a bad batch. I don't get vaccines anymore. I put enough crap in my body, I don't need to pump myself up with that, too. Vaccines always made me sick for a day or two anyway. Just my personal preference.

Spike and Mike's Twisted Animation Festival Spike and Mike's Twisted Animation Festival at the Magic Bag in Ferndale on Thursday....anyone interested? Doors open at 8pm, and film starts at 9:30pm. Cover is $8.00, which is more than films usually are there, but this is a special showing. This kind of thing is always better with friends, so I'm trying to get a big group of people to go. Stymie and I will be there for sure, so come on out and join us. Spike and Mikes was described by Robin Williams as "Disney with tits!" LOL! We plan on getting there around 8:45pm or so because seats are hard to come by the closer the film is to starting. It may be standing room only by 9:30. Hope to see you there!! Hi Sean! So sorry, but we had to cancel this event :( I updated the initial post to reflect why. There's just so much going on! Our summer party was a blast, and we look forward to having people over again when the insanity of the holidays pass. Thank you! :D

I confess I hate the consumerism, and commercialism of Christmas. The gift giving aspect of it all puts a very sower note on it for me every year, and I get crabby. Why should I have to buy something for some second cousin I never see just because "Christmas is for the kids?" No its not! Christmas should be more like Thanksgiving where people get together, spend time with each other, and enjoy the merriment of each others company. I confess that I think people who spend a ton of money every year on gifts for their kids are idiots. I heard a lady on the radio that expected her ex-husband to pay for half of the $1,200 she spent on their two kids for Christmas. WTF!?! $1,200? You bloody idiot!! We've allowed ourselves to be bullied by corporations to keep buying more, and more gifts every year for people to supposedly show how much we care, and love them. I confess that what I really want to do is donate the money I spent on my family for Christmas to a shelter, or charity in their name. I confess that I am currently fantasizing about sending a letter to all of my family members who I would normally send gifts, to explain that I will not be accepting gifts, nor giving gifts anymore, but that I will make a donation to the charity of their choice in their name. I confess that I am fantasizing I will tell them exactly why I would do that, as well. I confess, that I am now plotting to take the holiday BACK!! Okay, so now I confess that I have to go to work, so I can buy more presents as my plan will take some time. :(

Talking things out is always a good way to let out the chaos, pain, and all the other ugliness that can sometimes cloud our souls and paths in life.
