  1. The same thought occurred to me as well, lol.
  2. Ditto. Scaphism and being burned at the stake seems like an acceptable tradeoff by comparison...
  3. I'm feeling glad that I gave my xbox and games to my brother (he lives in a different house). I wish I could say I'm the kind of person who is disciplined enough to only play Fallout 3 and the like for an hour before stopping and going on to other duties, but I'm not. The problem is that now I'm having withdrawal symtoms. I keep daydreaming about ruined buildings begging to be explored, post-apocalyptic wastelands and super mutants getting melted into goo by my plasma rifle. Want to play....but....cannot...GAHHHHH!!!! *Bangs head on the wall, jumps up and down on the bed screaming nerd curses and rolls around in the grass*
  4. There's nothing quite like seeing a hot chick with a douche to make one lose all faith in the human race...
  5. Looking out at the rain, and trying to decide whether I want to make the one hour drive to the Ritz or not...
  6. You Are 26% Evil A bit of evil lurks in your heart, but you hide it well. In some ways, you are the most dangerous kind of evil.
  7. I'm gonna make it out tonight. I keep planning to go but end up sitting on my ass instead. Tonight will be different.
  8. I prefer coffee houses, picnics and BBQs at people's houses myself. Crazy Wisdom in Ann Arbor is a very nice new age store with great coffee and snacks. Obviously, it is kinda far though...
  9. Well I guess I do have one large one right in the center...
  10. I'm feeling worried now about Ivy Cat and her family, keep us updated Ivy!
  11. Congratulations on your spiderlings. This makes me remember the time in first grade when I kept black widows in a jar and brought them in for show and tell one day. People looked at me like I had horns growing out of my head, lol.
  12. I miss being a kid and only having to worry about my own inner adventure fantasies...
  13. I have to agree about perfume. Cigarette smoke doesn't really bother me unless there's a huge amount of it being blown directly into my face. But bad perfume, UGH.
  14. I don't feel particularly comfortable at clubs/bars myself. I've always had trouble finding my place in large groups to begin with, and while I can tolerate cigarette smoke, the noise does get to me. Its hard to find another way of meeting lots of people in one area on a weekly basis though.
  15. Besides being slowly burned alive, this one has to take the cake. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scaphism Scaphism, also known as the boats, was an ancient Persian method of execution designed to inflict torturous death. The name comes from the Greek word skaphe, meaning "scooped (or hollowed) out". The naked person was firmly fastened within a back-to-back pair of narrow rowing boats (or a hollowed-out tree trunk), with the head, hands, and feet protruding. The condemned was forced to ingest milk and honey to the point of developing severe diarrhea, and more honey would be rubbed on his body so as to attract insects to the exposed appendages. They would then be left to float on a stagnant pond or be exposed to the sun. The defenseless individual's feces accumulated within the container, attracting more insects, which would eat and breed within his or her exposed and increasingly gangrenous flesh. The feeding would be repeated each day in some cases to prolong the torture, so that dehydration or starvation did not provide them with the release of death. Death, when it eventually occurred, was probably due to a combination of dehydration, starvation and septic shock. Delirium would typically set in after a few days. In other recorded versions, the insects did not eat the person; biting and stinging insects such as wasps, which were attracted by honey on the body, acted as the torture. Death by scaphism was painful, humiliating, and protracted. Plutarch writes in his biography of Artaxerxes that Mithridates, sentenced to die in this manner for killing Cyrus the Younger, survived 17 days before dying.[1]
  16. At this point in time we can only speculate. I wonder myself if the bankers and other elites aren't going to be able to just get away with golden parachutes like they probably planned.
  17. It was good seeing you at the goth prom on monday!

  18. My own personal pet theory is that many people who are otherwise stable have their own inner flaws which, when you you throw exciting and seemingly secret, consequence free activities like the internet or meeting up in secret into the mix, causes people to go off the deep end.
