Besides Firefly, I really liked this one Canadian show called the Odyssey. It was about this kid who feel into a coma, with his consciousness entering a different world where there isn't anyone over the age of 15. I like a whole bunch of animes as well.

Ground beef mixed together stir fry style with cabbage, broccoli, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, a single egg, soy sauce and Chinese stir fry sauce. Yum yum.

I'm currently reading through "To Green Angel Tower", the final two-part volume of the trilogy Memory, Sorrow and Thorn. Its quite good, though I do think the author goes overboard with his descriptions.
