I first heard of the place sometime in the mid '80s, although there was never a time when I could've been considered a regular. The afterparty for the Sisters of Mercy's Chene Park gig in the summer of '91 was incredible and my first standout memory of a night there, but I'd gone there a handful of times before that.

I know it doesn't and won't sound like it to you, but he did you two huge favors without intending to. First, he demonstrated what a spineless piece of crap he is by not having the guts to say this while you were still together (and saying it over the phone when he finally did).
