  1. if I ever go over there, I'm going on an all-White Castle diet the week before. That'll learn 'im.
  2. the Vatican tries to ride the line between accessibility and security. usually, it works. I figured Pope Palpatine could've just used the Force to stop her in mid-air. Must've not wanted to blow his cover.
  3. yep, some jackass tried to light a powdery substance on an inbound NWA flight. 2 people noticed, and a 3rd jumped him and subdued him. more details: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34592031/ns/us_news-crime_and_courts hopefully, this was a full-on Detroit-style beatdown.
  4. Kodachrome film. if you have any undeveloped rolls lying around, you'd better get a move on; there's only one facility left that processes it, and they're going to stop doing so sometime before the end of 2010.
  5. likker in the front, pokkir in the reer
  6. none. http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/12/23/acorn-broke-no-laws/ merry Christmas!
  7. greyhalo and eleven would have to be up there for the ladies.
  8. ...and you're going to shows in bars? anyway, what pisses me off the most about concert prices the most these days is parking fees. $15-20 to park at the Palace? $3/person for Pine Knob? Whenever I hear of a show coming to town, I always hope it's either in downtown Detroit or Pontiac; in the D, there's almost always cheap/free parking available and the 3 venues in downtown Pontiac are all within walking distance..
  9. those $238 BEP tickets are part of a VIP package. tickets by themselves are $95, $75 and $55. Personally, my cutoff line has always been $52 - what U2 charged for tickets to Popmart in '97. I've only gone over that (for performers other than U2) twice: Roxy Music in 2001 ($72) and Sarah McLachlan in 2004 ($65). I would gladly pay over $100 to see a Soundgarden reunion tour...and I may get my chance in 2010 . As for anyone else...well, there's a reason I've gone from 26 shows a year in the '90s to 7 or 8 today.

  11. O84-C79-E15-A22-N11 I'm not the most agreeable person in the world, but I'm way better than a fucking 22! Assholes!
  12. maybe some of both: http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2009/12/21/2009-12-21_brittany_murphy_talks_about_being_thin_in_last_interview_with_fox_news_pop_tarts.html?r=news&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+nydnrss%2Fnews+(News)

  14. that link didn't work; in case you're curious, here's the clip Aime was referring to: ...and yeah, this should still get moved to Relationships.
