  1. ^ love that! check this shit out - a couple of guys made this at home. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zClnsN3xDyE&NR=1
  2. yep. Hohner licensed that design from Steinberger in the mid-'80s to use on a line of budget guitars and basses. very well made for the price.
  3. if you see this before the 11th, can you let us know about the opening band situation? I still haven't heard that there is one.
  4. This guy apparently got broomed from Walter Reed for going on/arguing about his religion with patients and staff...and they were shipping him OUT? Army med brass...I'll be nice and say they fucked up big-time. He should've gotten discharged before he ever even got to Ft. Hood.
  5. what are the years of "childhood" for all of you? I cut off my list at 13 myself. I should make a list of my teen years' reading...
  6. sorry for the double post...but I found a demo video for the TranScale. The acoustic guitar sound from the under-bridge pickup is incredible!
  7. y'all ever heard of a band called The Builders & The Butchers? they're more country than rockabilly, but I think you'd really like them.
  8. my #1 wish is a Steinberger TranScale guitar, but I can't find a good pic. :( ...so here's an Alembic bass, a LSR doubleneck guitar and my all-time fave synth - the Oberheim matrix-12.
  9. Most Crofoot/Eagle Theater shows have no-service-fee tickets available at Rock-a-Billy's. M-59 at either Van Dyke or Mound. I'd call them first to make sure they have tix for this show, though.
  10. ^ that's one of the cutest videos I've ever seen. ...the first time I saw Toni Halliday, she was the featured female singer on Robert Plant's Shaken and Stirred tour in 1985. In addition to singing 3 or 4 duets with him, she also led the 3-voice backing vocal section. She was awesome - been a fan ever since.
  11. damn near any house track pick just one goth song? Rosetta Stone's Adrenaline. utterly irresistible.
  12. Detroit stylee, bitchez! perhaps my fave Detroit band ever. definitely my fave locals of the last 20 years.
