My mom & dad didn't give much of a list, if any. All I remember right now is them telling me to not hang around this kid named Roger [last name withheld(sp?)], who grew up to be one of the best men I know. Everything else, they figured I was smart enough to get myself out of...and I was.

I called harpo's contact line; it was less than useful. I do know that Harpo's sells day-of-event tix at their box office; I don't think they sell advance tix. Seeing as Harpo's capacity is 2,000 people, getting tix on the day of the show shouldn't be a problem. If I find myself at a show there between now and Oct. 2, I'll be sure to ask.

that hurt to watch. danny was so sick by that point that the organizers shouldn't have asked him to perform. he gave it what he had, but... i'm amazed he managed to hang on another...what - 6 years?

are they still doing anything? I saw them at last year's DallyInTheAlley, and they went down a storm...but there were (at least to the best of my knowledge) no follow-up gigs. :( still love the Twistin' Tarantulas, and I've heard that the Twilight Babies might crank it up again. I'll believe that when I see it, though. I wish Bird Plus Magic hadn't (seemingly) packed it in when their bass player left.

I'm thinking of a new song I'm writing, and how to narrow the hundreds of possible words down to the right remaining 30-40 that I still need.

Was hoping for more rarities from NIN, but whatever. If that does indeed turn out to be their last show here, it was a good one. JA was much better that I expected. Everything's tuned down a whole-step now; that helped some songs (example: Three Days, Mountain Song) and hurt others (Then She Did, Stop). Obvious was a great song to pull out of the JA hat, but Ted, Just Admit it... has got to fucking go.

any unexpected onstage craziness this time? One of the main guys in FischerSpooner has loads of family in this area, and I remember him telling a story about his aunt diving off the stage 2 or 3 songs into one of their shows here.
