the battle for Tripoli is on; rebels closing in from east and west. fighting within the city limits. unconfirmed rumours that Gadhafi has fled the country. again, unconfirmed. oh, and I heard on the BBC World Service last night that the Turkish government is thinking of sending in their military to take out the Assad regime in neighboring Syria. that was 15 hours ago - I've heard nothing on the matter since.

the original lineup of X has reformed; they're playing this year's Voodoo Experience Festival in late October. http://voodoo.dostuff.info/ after that, they'll be opening for Pearl Jam on their South American and Central American tour dates. keep fingers crossed for X to do a full US tour! :D
