  1. Yep. Still single. Not even something resembling a family that I could communicate with in crisis. The last family I could talk to will be dead 7 years next month.
  2. For teens, as the logic goes, getting the parents out of the room gets kids to be more honest in the topic of drugs, sex, and frees them to ask questions they are afraid of asking in front of Mom or Dad. Did it when in school on pediatric rotations and caught quite a bit. Picked up anorexia in teen girls, and got them help early. I answered questions about sex from teen boys whose mothers were adamant that their boys "were not into sex," and so on. All because they didn't have their parent in there. Parents are intimidating regarding those things teens really want to know the answer to. Anyone younger than puberty, barring a high suspicion of child abuse, the parent is there. That being said, this pediatrician violated that trust, and with 2-year olds?! Hang him.
  3. Oh, sure. Now you tell us. Trying to avoid both the shortbread and the coconut ones. I swear the Girl Scouts load those things with crack or heroin or something addictive.
  4. *Vitriolic sarcasm* Well, aren't *I* having a absolutely wonderful week.
  5. Perhaps the Aztecs would put it to better use. It is not being captured by anyone locally. Though that first part of removal is a pain.
  6. Like the heart has been put in carbon freeze, but didn't quite make it to hibernation. :(
  7. No crushes, and nothing that suggests I am being crushed on.

  9. It's become the punchline. "Everything seems to be going for me and *yet*..."
  10. Ah, but me being the science fiction geek had to throw in some Babylon 5 references.
  11. And abandon all the civility and what little gentleman-like qualities I *have* cultured about myself? Wit respect to Ambassador Kosh of the Vorlon Empire: (warbling of translation device in the background) You are not ready for perversity. OR With respect to Commander Susan Ivanova: You're too young to experience that much perversion.
  12. You speak as though it's a *bad* thing...
  13. Raev, we need to talk. Cash will be involved.
  14. Didn't you guys pull this off a couple of weeks ago? Got me laughing my ass off. Especially since most of the ones in the mix were things I have seen on the request list that have been overplayed of late, and ones that I particularly don't enjoy myself (I know quite a few do...I can only imagine the mental cock-blockery this gave them.) Laugh riot, guys.
  15. I try to do so regularly. My blood count runs high normal to high. It would be the equivalent of sludge, not a good thing on the heart. So, doing good and dropping blood count to normal range? All for it.
  16. This song is called "Good Night, My Love" The song is called "Dying Station."
  17. O-neg is most sought after for blood transfusions, especially in emergencies where there is no time to do a type and cross (takes a full hour.) AB is the rarest at 4% of the population.
  18. and (Though to be precise, the re-release of the CD. Philadelphia Freedom was released as a 45rpm single record with the B-side being a version of Skyline Pidgeon, if memory serves. Yes, I am that much of a geek.)
