  1. I'm glad to see you back! We should go get beer.
  2. Y'all are out dancing and other fun stuff where there is music and people and drinking and not posting here. I hate you. How dare you. See you when your lives are miserable and dull, maybe? Not that I'm wishing monotony on you or anything. Nope. I just miss you when you're gone.
  3. You're so pretty, I don't believe you're real.

  4. All I really noticed from that article is how scary large their foreheads are. Maybe it's a good thing the baby was born prematurely; a head that big would HURT!
  5. To Michigan Works! but not quite as enthusiastically.
  6. It just goes to show how the social norms have changed over the years. Being a grandmother in one's late thirties was quite normal...when the average age of a bride was anywhere from 12 to 15 years. An unwed woman without children in her thirties was a rarity. One really was considered an old maid. And it was quite normal to have popped out in excess of five children by one's twenties, too. But then, most children didn't live to adulthood and were expected to help support the family in farming or herding. I don't see anything wrong with what these women have done as long as their children are healthy, well-supported emotionally, educationally, and financially. It certainly seems they are all loved.
  7. "Jenny, I got your number/ I've got to make you mine!" Damn DOUGfm radio. I know more music that I never wanted to know....with some exceptions (Bowie, Doors, Rolling Stones, Sinatra, Elvis Presley), it's like the MP3 player from hell. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkpGQUflBwU
  8. If you are talking about feedback on these pages, received via the '+1' button, I'm frustrated that I have only one vote daily. I want five. Or three, or maybe just two. See, some days I don't see anything I really want to '+1' and others I see many, but the recipient is always the first one I see. And since I scan the board from bottom to top instead of top to bottom, I usually end up plus-one-ing a funny joke in "other stuff" or excellent advice in 'relationships...' instead of the astute political commentary or excellent music choices or sage reviews that appear in the upper half of the topics menu. I think that at one point there was a negative vote. It wasn't a popular feature. I think someone was a victim of a personal vendetta and his/her score was drastically reduced over a number of days. It's probably much more productive to address some one honestly, but respectfully, in PM's if you have a personal issue with that person. But, yes, it's entirely a popularity game. But it's not like there are "winners." A high point value is a rather hollow prize. It's rigged in favor of the longest standing members and most frequent posters. I wouldn't take it too seriously. A low feedback score doesn't mean that no one is your friend or that what you say/think/feel doesn't matter here, because it does matter and you do have friends. Keep posting and your numbers will go up. Even if they don't, know your friends will still stand by you, including me, even though I find your lack of punctuation in some other posts alarming. /grammarNazirant
  9. Yeah, I'm a Pisces woman...but I'm also very taken, unless you are single redheaded woman with an IQ of at least 120 who wants a package deal (a married couple).....but I still flirt because it's fun. Anyway, Pisces is the one sign that is supposed to be extremely sexually compatible with EVERYONE. We are the chameleons in the bedroom. So, if any of that astrology stuff is true (I don't think so really, but it's also fun), you might have trouble finding a young one who is ready to be truly and completely monogamous, but good luck to you! Rather on focus on when she was born, my advice is to just meet a lot of women and get to know them well until you find your perfect fit.
  10. No, it's not. It's just good to get it from both plant and animal sources. Same is true of fats.
  11. Try using farro (emmer wheat) or quinoa instead of rice or pasta as a side dish to your meals. Both grains are excellent sources of whole grain fiber, non-animal protein, and iron.
  12. That's effin classic. Reminds me of this time when I was working in an office supply store on a day when the transformer in the parking lot blew up. A little old lady came in about 30 minutes after the power went out and was upset that I couldn't ring her up. "You know whose fault this is," she said, "Bill Clinton!" "What?" say I. This tiny sweet-looking old lady proceeds to tell me that since Bill Clinton couldn't keep his dick in his pants, he created a scandal that the media was going ballistic on and THAT was what caused the power outage: the news on the TV was sucking more energy. All I could say was, "I don't think that's how it works." She left, muttering some really evil things about soulless Democrats. Anyway, I feel pretty good today.
  13. "The Circle of Life!" *Otter momma holds baby over cliff and all the lesser animals kneel in awe.*
  14. I don't know. She kind of looks desperate for someone to take it off her hands for a minute.
  15. Yeah, well, with a little luck, a lotta hard work, and more than a few nights of monkeying around, Spook and I hope to spawn some. Right now, I'm trying to get into better physical shape for it and we're both trying to increase our income so ours won't be a welfare baby. Ask again next year.
  16. Some of the older accounts, like greyhalo's, show as guests, not members. I don't know if you can do anything about it though, if the member isn't really active anymore. I miss her.
  17. Probably most belongs in the want ads section (the very last topic category). I wish you luck, though. I can't do it because the compensation wouldn't even cover my gas. (I live in Rochester Hills.)
