Heya, here's a great belly dance event going on in May. Workshops for beginners and for those already learned in the arts. There's also going to be some African dance workshops there as well. Another reason to NOT say that there's nothing to do and there's nothing going on. Also... hot belly dancers... AND, friends of mine from Boheme Tribal Belly Dance in Kalamazoo will be there including Erik Konig who is an accomplished belly dancer and is NOT gay, so says his wife who runs the troupe So d00des shouldn't feel ashamed to go to this. http://www.detroitraqs.com/Home.html Holler at me if you're fixin' to go!!!!

Huge thanks to everyone that came out this weekend. I was pretty damned surprised. Those of you who were there can attest to the fact that Detroit peoples represented, and a lot of them were DGN'ers. The ballroom had a LOT of peoples and the place got pretty wild with a lot of hollering and dancing. It's awesome to see that there are people who will brave the economy and the elements to see local bands. I appreciate your support very much. Booking more shows for the near future, so hope to see you then Well, I'm sure I'll see some of you sooner. -
Bah, of course I wasn't there when you played them :/ Thanks anyways

I had to do that so people don't run in terror and call me some political word when they hear a beat that ISN'T techno.

iVardensphere- The Source of Uncertainty. Studio X- To Hell Cenotype- Skip Trace T Raumschmiere (ft Miss Kitten) - The Game is Not Over I would go bonkos to dance to any of these. I can't believe in 10 years I've NEVER heard the T-Raumschmiere song played at CC. I'm guessing all but iVardensphere are a bit obscure.

I remixed one of me songs. Took an entirely different approach to it. No biggie crazy drums. A lot of groovy smoov. A little easier on the ears for people not used to the drum and apocalypse terror http://soundcloud.com/servitor-sanctum-7/servitor-sanctum-7-maribasanna-prosthetic-pelvis-remix

DJ S@int mentioned a lot of important things. Throwing away the discourse I wrote.. I'll sum it up like this. DGN -75% "who needs to get laid?", "who's lonely?", "who thinks I'm hot?", "who wants a spankfest?", "subtly hint that you're desperate and will take anything you can get even if it's sympathy." "who's going to cityclub to ignore the music and fashion and get on with the fucking?" "who had cheerios this morning." -15% Music, the arts, movies, fashion... (things that pertain to goth/industrial people) -5% blah-zay-blah -5% Dj's promoting new and current music, shows, festivals, and most of the people completely ignoring them. fin

Well, I had some at your house the other night, I just didn't day anything, but I'll have them at the next 2 shows. I usually have a least a few with me to sell most of the time.

Servitor Sanctum 7 has released their first album on Octofoil records. Servitor is aggressive, feral and visceral both live and recorded. It is not generic industrial with a few drums thrown in. It is mostly a drumming showcase with a heavy, diverse and rich background of grinding industrial programming. The foundation is traditional West African, Afro Cuban, Middle Eastern, Brazillian, and American tribal drums sounds with the programming layered over the foundation of drums. No trance, no ambience, no hippies, just a screaming, pulsing, thundering, music experience that is a massive departure from the usual approach to rhythms in electronic music. Servitor has played live drums for Caustic and Prometheus Burning and has several live shows scheduled to continue pummeling fans with a blistering drum assault. http://servitordrum.com/ http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/alito-slavus/id393201806?i=393201812&ign-mpt=uo%3D4 http://www.amazon.com/Marriage-Earth-Iron/dp/B0043VKFHA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1293581541&sr=8-1 http://www.facebook.com/pages/Servitor-Sanctum-7/344543773871 (you can say "hi" here)

Santa got all snippy with me because asking him for a fine Arabic honey was dangerously close to human trafficking. Ok, fuck you, you roly-poly cock-wrangler, go deliver your dollar general merchandise. I gave him a slap across the nuts and fired his reindeer off the roof and lifted his Remy Martin off the sleigh. pwnage stealage drunkage I'll get my own Arabic honey, as long as I don't have to pay for her. If she can make shawarma, the rest of you womens are SOL.
