She is doing the right thing here...I really don't have any doubt about it. As far as fixing our system, keep the pressure on those that commit lesser crimes and for those like rapist, child molesters, and gang members well...we could use some mobile targets that would react like an actual enemy.

I think the issue is far more complicated than anyone really thinks about. I am skinny and can really eat whatever the hell I want without gaining anything at all. I have been about 140lbs for years now with only minor fluctuations. However, my sister and most of my cousins can't do that...they gain weight quickly and both of my cousins went from abs to giant beer guts in under a year. One of them has parents that strictly maintain their diets and had him eating very healthy until he was of age to make his own decisions...then he started gaining weight. I think this has to be a case by case thing...WAY too many factors are involved in this.

People asking the government...especially the military...for the whole truth need to be taken in for mental analysis. No they are not going to tell you and it doesn't really matter if the information is damaging, not damaging, or simply contains the many uses of bananas...always has been and always will be. It is almost the same reasoning as to why I must call myself Muffler 6 over radio channels even in a non-hostile area...it sounds stupid as shit and so do the other call signs but its SOP. Deal or live in fear with conspiracy theories that can really be developed around anything...like why corn actually stays in your poop...the "truth" will shock you! I don't see how it is a bullshit defense. Dead men at sea go "sploosh"...unless a contract states otherwise...so would it have been better to kick him out of the helicopter or whatever they took him back in? Would that be a "bonk" if you are over dry land? I think it would have been worse to toss him in the freezer until the ship returned to port...because there would be at least one person on the crew that would take advantage of a dead and hated man getting freezer burn on his corpse balls...and THAT would be sick.

His burial at sea is fine...it is considered an honored tradition for some navy folks. They don't like it? Too bad. I know a few sailors that have it written that they WILL be buried at sea and not brought back home. If it is not specified then the body will be buried at sea. Actually we have a protest coming tomorrow...locals with the "help" of Americans. You know, because we are providing medical and dental shit along with new buildings. The local military is already suited up and the civilians got their weapons out to help too...fires and small arms are expected. And the protests are actually increasing in number around our bases.

But there are certain way to speak on a subject that gets people to act...and then there are ways that just provoke comments from them and increase paranoia. None of the "what do you think" or any calm "i am going to try this" or even a "maybe they are doing it because"...most of the time I see "those evil (insert something) and trying to steal my (insert something else) so I am going to show them by (an action here) and I hope it teaches them a lesson!" I see focus on individual action that is more motivated by fear and self-preservation than it is whole the good of the people. I see it as bar fight mentality where you don't care WHY the person bumped you and spilled your drink...you just go into a tirade and sort it out later. I did kinda lash out but...I did not see any reason for the comments made to me. Yes but the data from China is based off of the models made when their laws were overturned...after 2008 or so their vehicle sale skyrocketed when the laws preventing most car purchases was removed. Before that it was only common for a family there to have one car IF they had one...now they can finance and shit so they are buying more. The last brief I had on it was using late 2010 data which also dealt with them building all of those major road projects that indicate a greatly increased amount of motor traffic.

Actually, China is the #1 user and Russia is competing with it. That is part of the reason for prices rising. China had a law where you had to pay for ALL of the car up front if you wanted one which really kept the consumers to a minimum. Their driver laws also kept alot of people from driving. A few years ago those laws were overturned...and then chaos. They really changed the market. Also, panic drives up prices in all sectors. In the middle east clashes with rebel groups, war, economic crisis, anything that unbalances shit can make the prices fluctuate...that includes greed. Then there is the oil companies...they are subject to panic and piracy and disasters and yes also greed. Then there is us...same shit different people. Then there is ETHANOL...which will eventually be the undoing of us all if they keep increasing the amount in gas. But hey, what is wrong with a little more pollution and less fuel economy as long as we use a renewable resource that takes away from the world food market and costs alot to make? Nothing right?

Also, what is posting complaints going to do? Anger them, make them laugh, do they even read these? It won't make them change their ways no matter what you post. DO SOMETHING! Half the reason I get irritated over this is because of the lack of action. You consider it action to have some other people take care of it and then you don't have to do anything. THAT is why I don't like the ACLU because too long have people gone "hey I don't like this I should complain and then go have the ACLU take care of it" and then the ACLU does but instead of sticking to the goal they declare a holy war which we know doesn't solve much does it? Bitching isn't action. Calling the ACLU police isn't action. Writing your senator isn't action. Shit...I don't care what your belief is but if you take action for your beliefs then I would have more respect for you as a human being. Hell, I have more respect for the "freedom fighters" overseas because although their views are warped and they are committing crimes against their own people they are ACTING! And having respect for your enemy can make a huge difference between misjudging them and taking them seriously. Don't get me wrong...I HATE terrorists for what they do...but all the political banter and bitching in American gives more credit to them because this is just stupid. I joined the Army to help make a difference because more often than not I am called on relief missions in foreign countries where I can help...and many other soldiers joined with similar reasons...WE ACTED ON OUR BELIEFS! Act or shut up...armchair crusaders are make our country look worse every day so if you see one don't imitate them...take a stand that, god forbid, could cost you some effort or would in some way inconvenience you.

It is just that while I understand that we have problems they are FAR less that most everyone else. The poverty in most areas here is just sickening and while I look at the school and feel like we helped I turn around and see houses ready to fall over, a kid drinking out of an old bucket full of brown water, and vehicles holding on by threads...literally...and I realize that we have a long way to go. The nice thing is that these people are very accepting and take everything they have as a gift. They stand around to watch us and talk to us and some even offer to help with the projects. The last 3 trips to the Cocheo site, I think that is how its spelled, I gave my MRE to the kids watching. Normally giving stuff to kids at home gets a nasty look from parents...but here the kids tore it up and then the adults around there brought over music, tea, and killed a goat to bring us something. I mean damn I don't even know how I could live a satisfied life down here and these people just push along...yet at home where we have literally everything people go apeshit over pretty much anything that isn't in their plan for life. Right now I can't go out to the site to finish painting the building because the protesters are here...led by...drumroll...............................AMERICANS!
