  1. How is the Limeade? I haven't tried it yet.
  2. Guys and gals, please pray for the 12 lost and the 59 dead in the shootings last night out here in Colorado. It was at a premier of The Dark Knight Rises, of all things. Everyone in Colorado is in shock over this happening.
  3. I've been on and off the board since I think summer of 2009...just haven't had much time at all in months to drop in and say hello.
  4. So I was reading survivor stories on the National Necrotizing Fascisstis Foundation's website earlier (http://www.nnff.org), and read quite a few accounts detailing how many individuals who were struck by necrotizing fascisstis (or more commonly referred to as the "flesh eating bacteria") lost muscle tissue, skin, and in some cases entire limbs. Many endured months, if not years, of physical rehabilitation, dozens upon dozens of surgeries, and some today have to live with access to help 24/7. Many mention having bills over $100,000 or higher from not only insurance companies but also doctors and hospitals. In one case, a woman who lost part of her arm and both legs to this bacteria has a bill of over $1 million just from all the surgeries done, prosthetics and rehab for many different things resulting from her catching this bacteria. Both her and her parents are reduced almost to being on the streets because of the massive charge for this bill, and just realizing how many individuals out there are hurting financially thanks to this bacteria entering their bodies and leaving them disfigured after all of the ensuing treatment by doctors...I've come to the conclusion that I have simply had enough of these rich vultures pushing numerous people into poverty without having an ounce of compassion for what they have to endure while recovering from having this type of disease do untold damage to them both physically and mentally. I have had it with these vultures making matters worse by demanding these people pay as much as possible in return for having their lives saved. I'm formally asking that whoever reads this, regardless of political affiliation, contact their congressional representative or senators and demand that a universal healthcare system that is as cost-free as possible be instituted in this country. There's no excuse for it not to happen - if our nation's allies in the west can afford to have such a healthcare system in which all benefit from it and pay next to nothing for treatment, then the United States can do the same. It must be done...it must.
  5. Thank for this lovely piece of info! I had no clue they had a trailer out for the second film yet...my inner trekkie is roaring with delight at the prospect of seeing this already!
  6. Hello friends. I've barely had time to drop in and say hello, but anyways, back to topic: the reason can partly be blamed on the growing numbers of individuals who are influenced by right wing political talk show hosts and evangelical figures. In turn, these people influenced by said figures buy into what they are hearing without question, and elect men and women who are "pro-life". I've seen a lot of this happening in Colorado myself. I don't know how it is in Michigan, seeing as how I have not lived there for at least 2 1/2 years now, but I can attest to the gradual shift to the right in much of our political scenery, especially on the question of being pro-choice or "pro-life", if you can really call it that.
  7. Speaking of absences, I'm back! It's been a few months since I checked in...I've been busy ever since getting a car, am seeing a lot more requests for investigations with my paranormal team, and a lot else.
  8. Because me and my merry band of pirates drank it all...because that's what we pirates do.
  9. I apologize for your having to live in Port Huron. Spent too many good years of my life there...and I'm glad I escaped!

  10. For me it's simple this year: I'll be spending my second Halloween night in a row working at a commercial haunted house here in Colorado Springs. Last year, it was Ghetto Batman. This year? A Sith lord. Win.
  11. So I managed to nail Raven earlier in a game of death match. I apparently broke his kill streak...and didn't realize it was him until after the fact. Funny as hell yet it was a total oops moment at the same time.
  12. It was simple for me, being a Batman fan and all...
  13. Tyger and Pestilence, you guys have been added.
  14. Just joined Xbox Live finally...my gamertag is DarthChris9. Send me a request...I could use some good people to play with who know what they're doing. I'm usually on CoD, Dead Rising 2 or the Left for Dead games.
  15. Definitely an interesting article, but I don't see the Republicans exiting history at all. If anything, the voters will rapidly forget everything that happened throughout the entire argument in Congress over the debt ceiling and re-elect these sorry jackasses back into office. Even the term re-elect is questionable. Look at how many instances there have been where voters were disqualified because of their race (this has been an unspoken issue over the last two decades) or right wing idiots ordering all "hanging chad" ballots to be discounted...especially ballots that are cast for a liberal candidate. Does anyone remember the 2000 election or 2004 election? That's all you need to know right there. And the 2010 elections were no better. A small cadre of Tea Party fascists were easily able to sway millions of votes in their favor by indirectly playing on the racial biases of many voters from small towns. It's sickening. The Republicans are hell bent on destroying the President and the country simply because they want it their way - a rich white conservative back in power, and no one else. It makes you wonder if they're willing to drive us into another civil war because of their one side ideology.
