  1. I do it a lot though I'm a habitual rider/commuter so I guess it's safe to say that I take my bike everywhere.
  2. Will this speed things up at the airport? It'd better. Seriously though, I wonder how on the hook a person will be if they have a 'contact high' because they shook hands with someone who just got back from the shooting range.
  3. I saw it last night. I thought it was ok. A little too soon after the other movies for me to really be wowed. I thought the csmeo by Stan Lee was pure awesome though. That scene was really cool!
  4. Thanks, man. This falls under the the auspices of "Fool me once, shame on you." She dumped me last year in April and we got back together in September and then April rolls around again and what do you know? It's dumping season again! Yeah, fool me twice, shame on me.
  5. As someone who's freshly single from a LTR (freshly meaning 'was delivered walking papers in April'), I'm in no rush to get involved with someone. But at my age I'm really looking hard at my friends who have managed to get and stay happily married the first time around. I myself was only married for 3 years and got divorced when I was 30. Been engaged twice and had them both evaporate. My friends don't seem any more or less stable than me. What's the secret of it all?
  6. This one is a few months old. I'd just picked up my new glasses and was sending a picture to a friend. No idea why I look like so serious in this one.
  7. I hate time travel plots but I felt that the cast was able to translate a perfect amount of the clicheness (did I just make up a word? I haven't had any coffee yet) of the original series without overdoing it. That said, I don't know why the producers felt it necessary to appeal to convention and include an original cast member. But yeah, I'm not a Trekkie myself. I major in Star Wars.
  8. I loved the first reboot (with the exception of the original Spock but that's just a detail).
  9. Been thrown under so many buses that I can identify the manufacturer by driveshaft.

  10. Should be a good time. The details are still evolving but we think this is gonna beat your usual pub crawl any day of the week.
  11. http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/act/3041625531.html
  12. I thought I saw that there was some control for turning off the notifications when you're quoted. Was I imagining it? Someone quote me so I can see it again.
  13. Didn't mean to threadjack. Ok, when I think quintessential goth song I think.....Blue Water by Fields of the Nephilim. Might be because I was a youngster when I first heard it, but it still does it for me.
  14. Joey, never heard Gargoyle Sox before until now. That rocks!
  15. Never really gave him a close listen until the last few weeks. I'm blown away by the lyrics and don't know if I can see past them in a gothy way right now.
  16. Jeez, gotta think about this. Been listening to a lot of Tom Waits lately so my judgement may be clouded.
  17. Sisters of Mercy with their song Temple of Love. Jeeezus, that was what, 1984? I suddenly feel a little older. WhooooO!~
  18. Oh, I guess the first stone in my road to Industrial was Laibach. I was stationed in Germany in the late eighties and I heard Sympathy For The Devil on New Years Eve 1989.
  19. GI Joe. I knew it was gonna be bad. I didn't know it was gonna be that bad. My link I mean, so bad that I felt like I had comitted child abuse by letting my daughter watch it. The one redeeming feature of the film? Snake Eyes. Only because he entered the loop in my hypothetical question "Who wins in a fight: Predator or Boba Fett?" Snake Eyes kills them both. I feel dirty just admitting this to ya'll.
  20. I'm freaked out by them for a different reason. I was stationed in Germany in the late '80s and my unit was selected to patrol a section of the Czech border (the cold war was winding down but we still had to play Army). One night as I was walking around in the dark on the edge of a forest I heard something howl pretty close to where I was. I put on my night vision glasses and saw a rabbit hop out of the bushes. The problem? The old style night vision gives you really crappy depth perception. There were trees some distance behind the rabbit but with the lack of depth perception it looked like he was about the size of a cave bear. Scared the crap out of 18 year-old me. I hate rabbits.
  21. Ach! Sometimes it just happens to you. I was the last person that I'd ever suspect would have kids. I've learned that I do like kids. No more for me though. As soon as the kid goes off to college, or clown school or the army or what have you, I'm joining the f--kin' circus!
