  1. Cool find, MarsDust! Man Bites Dog is one of my favorites. It's all kinds of f--ked up.
  2. Hey, my first DGN friend! I wish there was a prize or somethin' that I could hand out.

  3. I'll suggest that there's been a merging of nazi asethetics into the goth 'scene' a la Laibach, Death in June, etc. Assuming that a lot of folks (goth or otherwise) don't know the difference between playing Nazi dressup (something I seem to do a lot of, so I'm not knocking it. Hey, the bad guys were snazzy dressers!) and actually reading Mein Kampf and highlighting their favorite passages, I'll say that the goth world can harbor all kinds of contradictory political viewpoints. As a side note, Laibach once responded to a question about their politics and were they nazis. The answer was "We're nazis like Hitler was a painter."
  4. That's how I feel about my pancreas. Seriously though, having grown up in suburban Chicago where handguns were banned (Ooooooh, scary dangerous object! Oooooooohhh!), I think this is a good thing. It's the same suburb (Oak Park) that had the 'balls' to declare themselves a nuclear weapon-free zone. It's not like they were in any danger of someone building a missile silo in the middle of town, but they just wanted to make a gesture. An empty, useless one at that. A suburb that claims to be progressive and such but does its' best to keep out the riff raff (meaning, anybody without money). Yeah, I don't miss my home town a whole lot. Rant off.

    Dreams

Man, that's really rough. Get it? Ruff? Seriously though, how often do dreams make sense? The wolves must represent something else.
  6. Rev and Iris, I had the same reaction. My fiancee has never heard them, I think tonight's the night.
  7. Candyman, good luck and be safe! You're about to enter as surreal a world as can be. And I say that in a good way, having been in uniform myself. I myself am getting one last really hardcore lacrosse season with my team here in Cincinnati before I move to Grand Rapids. I'll know it was good if I'm all bruised and battered and barely able to walk by the end of July.
  8. Heh heh heh! You said 'exposed sex offenders'.
  9. Hey, can anybody tell me about the Grand Valley Ren Faire? Are there others close to Grand Rapids? Any info would be appreciated.
  10. I second Phee's comments. If your friends don't like your SO or vice versa, I'd hope that they'd at least have the maturity to respect your choices and play nice.
  11. Need someone to carry your bags for you, Ma'am? I work cheap as long as you take care of my visa!
  12. I've been trying to convince the ol' lady that we need to do this when we get married, but so far she resists my charms.
  13. Odd, I was just taking a break from painting my living room. The soundtrack for said activity has been lots of Public Enemy. WELCOME TO THE TERRORDOME!
  14. Please see the following link. And then get off my lawn. My link
  15. The pisser of it is that for this kind of dough, I wish I could just walk down the street to the ol' shoe store and try them on first. But NOOOOOO, I gotta have a ridiculous taste in footwear and can only order them from afar. Somebody talk me into doing it and I'll post groovy pictures when I get them.
  16. I'm lookin' around for a pair of New Rock boots, and according to most of the size charts that I've seen, a Euro sized 46 will fit my US 13 feet. But there's one place that insists that I need a 47...does anybody here wear New Rocks, and if so, how do they fit? I want to get it straight before I spend that kind of money. I'm such a slave to fashion.
  17. Bean, don't delete it. You sum up the concept that being a step parent (a good step parent) is the hardest job around.
  18. Ya'll know what this means? We're back to leaving the toothpaste at home when we fly.
