Yeah, that's literally nothing new. He's been doing shit like that for years now, at least as far as I know.

I mean it certainly doesn't hurt since he also knows good lawyers (hence the connected part.) Also he isn't rich, but he makes a modest living and certainly isn't poor. I suppose compared to most of the world he is though. His cultural and religious identity is important to him so I mentioned it. I love how you instantly went to a negative place with it though as if just mentioning the word is a bad thing, and I'm sorry if you took it as such. Obviously we don't really agree on the whole religion thing, but we're both respectful of each other's beliefs. Him and his wife are my only real orthodox friends though. Most of my Jewish friends are pretty secular.

Yeah, technically you only have as many privileges as the government is willing to give you, no matter how native you are. If the government doesn't care then all you can do is take it to court and hope they see things your way. What? I tell no lies. So he's got wealth and is connected, is that such a bad thing?

What a crock of shit. How about it's your land and you can do as you please with it. My friend has a side lot next to his building that he parks on all the time. It's behind a fence though so maybe that helps. Probably also helps he's Jewish so he can afford to fight any tickets with some good lawyers.

I just took a friend in for elbow surgery and he said that was worth it, but he can also afford it. I'm not sure that I don't know anyone with some type of knee problem too. I'd say don't put it off because quality of life is more important than anything. I need to stop putting things off myself, but I think I'll try to get to that tomorrow

I was browsing r/all and saw a post in r/trump cross my feed. Before blocking that subreddit entirely I noticed some guy and his mom posted a photo of a rally and it was about 1/3 full. I'm not looking forward to four more years of Biden, but it is certainly better than the alternative.

It's a fun trouble though

The only actual holiday that matters because it means an "extra" hour of bar time and I had to be stuck missing it. Though I'd prefer if they just canceled it completely. I don't care which they pick, or even if they did my suggestion and moved it a half an hour permanently in between the two.

Dad has covid, but feels much better. I feel fine but we'll see how long that lasts.
