Well it happened, understandably but it still sucks. I hated them both so I was going to be unhappy either way, but I do admit I hate Trump slightly more because of the narcissism, egomania, xenophobia, and misogyny. On top of that that insufferable base of his who think that they are free to act the same way now that he's won. The apologetics from them were horrible too where they handwaved away legitimate criticisms, and mocking those who brought them with "orange man bad!" The one good thing to come out of this is punk music is going to absolutely rock for the next few years. However I really just have one question... https://www.loudersound.com/features/andrew-eldritch-sisters-of-mercy-will-make-another-album-if-trump-is-elected IT'S HAPPENED TWICE NOW ANDY, WHERE'S OUR FUCKIN' ALBUM‽ Well, I guess at least I'll get to keep my guns.

Another example, and another Yet another! (scientifically made to be bad even!)

I respectfully disagree.

That isn't actually music.

Haven't seen @TronRPin a while. Hope you're okay. There are a lot of other people on here I haven't seen either though. While some of those can rot, I hope the rest that I actually like are okay too.

Fuck, that's what I get for not reading this more often DON'T TOUCH IT! Testdisk is an amazing data recovery tool. It's possible it could still find that data. How it works is the information isn't really gone when a file is deleted until that space is overwritten with new data, so it's possible to recover that data until that happens. Even most of the simple data recovery services just start with that. Also Windows 11 sucks, for multiple reasons. Get yourself a copy of "Windows 10 LTSC" and it shouldn't force the upgrade (or just switch to Linux Mint which is much better anyway and can run most of the same programs or at least an analogue equivalent.) You can also turn off the forced upgrade option with Win10Privacy too, which is basically just a nice user interface for a bunch of PowerShell commands and Windows Registry settings. If you ever want a hand with it let me know, I'm fairly good at what I do. @Stucan attest to that.

All Souls Day - goth event in Muskegon

Thanks, though I might not make it out. It's also cute how you can see the fbclid tacked onto the end of that URL. Facebook always tracking us even if we don't consent, fuck them. DJ Benét? I wonder if he'll sing too :P -
That sucks, I hope it gets better. I am looking forward to the Discord meetup tonight (if you're up for it that is.) I'll be there assuming I still remember in 12 hours.

You have any details for us who have Facebook blocked? -
There are worse things to be known as. Anyway... "In addition to my other numerous acquaintances, I have one more intimate confidant. My depression is the most faithful mistress I have known~no wonder, then, that I return the love." ~ Soren Kierkegaard

They have meds for that :P Honestly I need to try me some of that Adderall one of these days. I'm a bit scared to though because I might actually do something.

What do you miss?
Scary Guy replied to IsleofRhodesEnt's topic in Relationships, Pets & Domestic Homelife
I know a Japanese-American girl. I do not know if she actually speaks it or not though. She's dating my friend Kurtis. Though I imagine you could go out to eat at a Japanese place and just strike up a conversation with people and see if anything sticks. Anyway... I miss my car :( You lose a lot of agency without one, and soon it will be too cold to bike. -

Well here's another self indulging event to celebrate making yet another round trip on this ball of dirt. There is no cover, I will VJ along with anyone else who wants to join in. Music will be whatever I like, maybe with some bones thrown to the crowd. Probably will start around 8 or 9PM. Maybe I'll get there early and hang out beforehand too. Any questions please post here or DM me.

This doesn't really fit anywhere else, so I figured I'd give it its own thread. My car decided to piss itself with break fluid last Monday when I was leaving Logan's Roadhouse. When my friend Joe tried to jack up the car the body was so rusted it crumpled, and the front was worse. I drove a car until it died. It was a hard car to kill for the most part but it happened. Now I need to concentrate on finding a new one... Y'all have no idea how bad I want another hearse.

Honestly, not your fault and you don't need to carry that guilt. We're not hosting experts, or coding experts, or even forum software experts. We do the best we can with the tools we have. It's really on the hosting company to fix things. I'll tell a little story about a forum called coffin-talk.net (archive.org link, is safe to click) which is long since dead with the domain now hosts a zombie blog. It used to be a really fun site for professionals and fans of the funeral industry. Since I know a thing or two about phpBB and I was a regular user Cat made me an admin to help out with things. There was another user whom they made an admin that I didn't demote even though I could have. That user ended up pruning the entire board, and it was devastating! He said he was sorry and took full responsibility but the damage was done. This happened in January or February I think, and luckily I made an entire backup from October of the previous year. Though that wasn't good enough for the site owner so the forum was just unceremoniously shut down. I tried a few times to fix it but I couldn't get SSH or FTP access, and I'm not even sure I'd have had any luck. The associated store still exists at http://www.pushindaisies.com, and it still links to the forum. Supposedly I have a $100 credit I've never used, but I'm not even sure it'd work at this point anyway.

So who do you have the hots for??

No that is pretty impressive. Like an extended monitor though or mirroring the main one? It also depends on how it's doing it though. I've used things like VNC (basically a free Remote Desktop) to display and control remote systems but that's just mirroring them. Still it was pretty useful and every once in a while I fire it up to control my father's system without actually having to go to it for updates and whatnot.

That's rough and I'm sorry you're going through that. "She had to wait a little bit for her pain relief because she had only had it 3 1/2 hours prior." That really pissed me off though. If someone is that terminal who cares when the last time was? The only thing you can do really is pain management. There's no fixing or even maintaining really. There is only waiting for things to break down and stop because assisted suicide in this country is a joke (except in a few forward thinking states.) You want a hard fucking watch? If you can't make it through I get it, but it did make me feel better after my own mother died, and I'm not really sure how else to help other than comedy, because life really is a joke sometimes. Other times it really isn't because jokes are supposed to be funny. Laughter really is the best medicine though, especially when it's the only medicine (I say only because I don't really drink or do drugs, which while being options they're not great options.) I don't know if you're doing therapy/grief counseling, but you should really think about that too. All I can say is it's a pain you never forget, but it does get easier over time. The fact that she's still alive but not all there mentally is even tougher. At a certain point death is a release. Not saying I want us to turn into Canada, where they suggest it as a solution for everything. But I had a thought the other day. We put down our pets when they get too ill. Bestiality is illegal because they can't consent, and so logically they also can't consent to that. Yet we do it "as a kindness" or whatever. No, we do it because taking care of them or the emotional labor of watching them suffer is too much and we don't want to deal. They can't even really conceptualize death as we do either and the end is just scary ignorance of what is happening for them. People however can consent if they choose. Yet most states including ours make it illegal to nope out when things get really bad. We are forced to suffer or break the law. I'm full on pro-choice and things like this are also included in that. Most people are just selfish and we don't want to see our loved ones go. Sorry, rant over. I hope you feel better.

They both need to go, but they don't want to and their respective parties will not let them. This country is doomed either way.
