  1. I'll let everyone in on a little secret I harbour (but am most willing to divulge to inquiring minds). My manus (you know...protein growths from my finger tips): It was not until two years back when I decided to quit my nasty habit of biting them off. Now, you might notice a distinctive shape, and draw many conclusions from that. The inspiration I drew upon was a Gustave Flaubert novel, in descriptioning the title character of "Madame Bovary": neatly filed nails trimmed into an almond shape. Sure, some are put off, some are jealous, and some go to great lengths to hide their distaste under the guise of petty lies. The genes I have inherited, along with a healthy diet allow me to grow them without the use of horrid "treatments" (I should know, I work in a drugstore cosmetics department). In closing, I do so because I can!
  2. I think we have ourselves a new crowd favourite
  3. a perfectly steeped cup of Yerba Mate at just the right temperature.
  4. I was wondering when someone was going to make mention of space vampires.
  5. *pokes with stick* I think you killed it, Nocker (the thread, that is) They all must have Twatlight on the brains. and what, no one makes mention of Daybreakers? Forsooth! 95.5467302% of that movie was an intellectual high for me. It follows in the traditional mythos of the vampire enacting society's "shadow" and greatest fears. I found the parallelisms between the modern state of pharmaceuticals to be quite...delectable.
  6. Good one, Phee. I still refer to Stanislavski as "The Mad Russian" because of this film oo, and Låt den rätte komma in (Let the Right One In) (2008) - I rather enjoyed this Swedish vampire film. Excellent minimalistic use of CG where appropriate (that's the way its done, folks)
  7. Murnau movies in general are great for the physical symbolism (i.e. Orlock resembling a plague rat). I wrote a rather short and rushed paper on that subject. I see a lot of movies on here that have been recommended by a dear friend of mine(Near Dark in particular). While on the subject of said friend, randomly listening to music in my car driving somewhut or another; For some strange reason, a Skeletal Family song makes him remember a rather obscure title: Central Park Drifter (aka Graveyard Shift) (1987) I've yet to watch this. I own it, just have to find an audience to watch it with.
  8. I feel like I've been down this road before... I feel like I've been down this road before... I feel like I've been down this road before...
  9. Today, I believe I will take my meals in a glass...tomorrow...the WORLD!!!
  10. Well, float me in adipocere and call me "Bethy"...learn something new everyday!
  11. Damn you, keyboard! Why must you resist my imposition of grammar?
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5ruRPfC8uM&feature=related Vive la France!
  13. Remember to BYOF (Bring Your Own Faygo) Oh wait, this is not at an abandoned factory this time around...disregard previous message. Also that guy should check his seams.
  14. You mean a skybar? I hear there is one in Ohio that charges people extra at the door if they come out of dress-code (i.e. preppy attire during a goth night)...isn't that a novel idea!
  15. I got to explore the newly opened dungeon!!! Believe I gained some raiding experience for that one. , Went through 3 bottles of water, punched Stormknight in the arm, danced for the occasional three-song set, confirmed that I do have Erica-sense (whenever it goes off, i can expect some Ms. Null within three songs of what's playing), made pleasant with two kind people that invited me to dance, and managed to drag one more body back onto the dancefloor when Nachtmahr came on (just so we are clear: that wasn't a request, it was an apology) Descriptive phrase burst: Hydrogen Hydroxide, "The Ensnarer", and wiener dogs...
  16. Faith and I had to mitch out of there hella early. Something felt severely off...and it wasn't just the circuit breaker, non I'm still amazed at how Shiv-R cleans the dancefloor each time. And no one ever dances to Power Outage, either...come on, dance in the dark!!!
  17. Its a rich stew, carefully spiced with only product from the native land...Usually, you would only be able to acquire it if you were visitng your Great Great Great Aunt GYÖRGYIKE...who is somehow still alive to this day
  18. Well, you could have spun "Hemoglobin"... there seemed to be a lot of haem-rich tracks played that night?
  19. Like...take-out...or did you want me to make up a large batch of Hungarian Goulash at the site? I haven't made that in some time, come to think of it. (I use only DARK MEAT!!!)..oh wait, I remembered why. Goulash sorta happens, its nothing I can plan.
  20. I fancy I'm up for some culture at the Nocker couture.
  21. Had the whole floor to myself for that one ...made full use of it, too! (and the joint was by no means devoid of living corpses) I'm seeing more an more refugees from my brief stint at the Necto. Also saw some folks that haven't been at City since the winter. I don't know what it was...Saturday felt more like a Friday, only it wasn't....and Friday felt more like a Saturday, only it was.
