I am doing something about it and planning to lose extreme amount of weight this year by enlisting into a fully supervised medical weight loss program. So hopefully next year A different and more beautiful, confident creature will be standing here!

I was anticipating and keeping up on this for a while and when they released Praise Abort I had mixed feelings however after listening over it I have to say this is Till Lindemann in his pure form but singing in English of course. It will be one of the albums fans of Rammstein love or hate. I for one like it. I see the dark twisted humor and its done quite stylishly and artistically as I would have hoped with Tills background with Rammstein. We seen Richard Kruspe do well with Emitgrate and explore his own thing as well though I must admit while its good you can see how Richard steers away from Rammstein and is not about shocking or stirring up controversy. I am about to get the Full deluxe Lindemann album as a late birthday gift. It will have a book with lyrics and some artistic photography and imagery. Theres also going to be a Lindemann art display in Dresden I may or may not check out.

Guilty pleasures! I am a huge fan of Blutengel it was pretty awesome finally seeing them live and meeting them! You can not deny Chris Pohl is dreamy! Next to him lovely Viki Scarlet. She often is in videos and scantily clad and covered in blood hehe. She totally digged my coffin bag and so did Christ. He signed it but its fading so it needs to get signed again next time we meet!

My beloved Jurek. We have been together over 2 years and things keep getting better! He now has a really epic goatee braid going on. This is our first Gothic event together and one of the most amazing and memorable times of my life. M'era Luna!

Hey everyone your Fairy Gothmother here sharing some cool things from my Goth life in Germany. My husband Jurek and I moved to beautiful Leipzig home of the biggest Gothic gathering in the world Wave Gotik Treffen. Its a goths dream come true. Simply attending it was not enough I want to live it and be a part of it every year! So I am super lucky. If you do not know me I am Cathrine and I grew up in Michigan about a hr north of Detroit near Harsens Island. I always been a bit weird and I got into the gothic lifestyle and discovered Detroit Goth scene. It was difficult with my life, circumstance and location to be a huge part of it but never the less I did at least come experience and meet some of Detroits/Michigans fellow goths and attend some clubs and events. As I got more into the music and life I also took notice of the national and international scene and thirsted for more. I grew to love Industrial music and EBM and so much of it came out of Germany and I discovered M'era Luna and WGT. I knew I would have to learn some German because my love for German music and so I could one day go to these events. After moving to California for a few years I finally decided to go big or go home. I thought why not do something amazing and move to Germany? I do not have children and I may have my medical issues but I have the independence to travel. I began building a network of friends and also began to grow a interest in dating German guys as well. I mean why not go for a cute German goth guy? Anyways fast forward and I have been in Germany over 3 years. I am married to a adorable lovely guy and we have a naked Donskoy cat named Giizmo. We went to M'era Luna together in 2013 and moved to Leipzig end of December 2014. Now we are settling in and working on our goals and plans for our life here. First taking care of priorities but still enjoying some bits of the goth scene when we can afford the time and money. So this thread will be where I share my life in photos with a little blogging about things. I also encourage anyone who has ever experienced or visited to also join in post photos or post comments, photos and ideas about the scene and things you want, want to see and experience. So I will start by posting some photos from the past couple years. Sorry I am not in many since right now until I shed the weight I feel uncomfortable in too many photographs. So I will begin with some pics from M'era Luna 2013 and progress from there!

Well right at this moment I am feeling a bit stressed and tired. Alot has been going on and big changes. First my husband got a full time job at BMW which is awesome and I am proud of him but it at the same time is stressful as we must sort out time management. My birthday is tomorrow but we will be celebrating a month late because well hes paid a salary and as this is the last month of being broke without spare it is what it is. I also am stating a medical weight loss program the end of the month. Doing the paperwork now after going to the initial program seminar at St. Georgs medical center. At the same time I am excited because these things big changes will bring good things. Our move to Leipzig has been the most amazing and awesome decision ever. We could not afford tickets this year but we still got to experience some of Wave Gotik Treffen and seeing the city taken over by goths and going to the free events and gatherings was beautiful and amazing. Starting to make friends, connections and living in a city that offers so much for the scene not only during WGT but year round is for me a dream come true. so my husband work, my getting my health sorted means by next year I will have some amazing things to share with you.

A naked cat on my shoulder and black shorts and a tshirt. nothing fancy. I have to lose a bit of weight too! Can not wait until my surgeries are done and I am settled in Leipzig. My husband and I will be going swimming often and working out and I will be dancing in the club. Going to slim down as I have someone making me dress for Wave Gotik Treffen next year.

Its a hot day today but still packing. Filled three boxes with books! I am feeling so excited as moving time nears! My fundraiser has gotten off to an epic start thanks to someone special from DGN! I am looking forward to so much right now and have alot of work to get done! A little anxious about my surgery 8th August but I feel everything should go fine. I am grateful the healthcare system here is pretty good and I can finally have my health taken better care of. The Drs here have been finding things overlooked and misdiagnosed over the years. I will have to start blogging sometime too about my life here especially once I am living in Leipzig.

cant decide i have a few

Well I never really left I just peek in here and there as since moving from Michigan I been on a wild and crazy adventure. So yeah I think I will post a bit more often. I do have my facebook but thats because I have some family and alot of people including none goths who I keep in touch with. So yeah as some of you may know I am moving to Leipzig Germany. Birthplace of Rammsteins Till Lindemann and my gorgeous husband.So theres my lame claim to fame anyways haha well aside from the time i nearly ended up in a car wreck with Mark Jackson and Joe Letz lol. So stoked and excited since this is the home of one of the biggest Gothic festivals in the world going strong now since 1992 and a pretty large Dark scene with clubs, shops and even communities of sub culture Leute living together or sharing homes and apartments. Theres an Absinthe bar as well. Leipzig has a big arts and music scene as well. Once we move I am setting up a Gothic Embassy. I will be happy to open my home for friends in the scene to come to for events, festivals and visits. It will be my studio and showroom for my projects, photography and interior decorating. I want to be able to help friends who have wanted to experience the German goth scene and travel a safe and relaxing place to come meet up and even crash for free though i would only ask depending on length of stay chipping in towards food and having spending money for your travel and stuff, My husband and I can help you navigate and translate if your not fluent in German and I will gather all the information I can on goings on across Germany, scene events, concerts, clubs and with the plethora of resources it wont be hard. Theres like at least 5 magazine publications alone dedicated to goth and subculture lifestyle, music, fashion, literature and entertainment. Its great as they also come with CDs and DVDs and other goodies like stickers, posters and stuff. Of course anyone interested in any materials and stuff like this can order them through me if you can not get a subscription in the US I can post on here the different publications and the prices and even posts photos of them so if you want you can order it with postage supplied and I will be more than happy to send that unless you can buy them online other places easier which in that case if I find those out I will send links. I know how much many of you love German and European bands and the sad fact only a handful of them ever come to the states to tour in a handful of cities. So coming here for festivals is a great way to see alot of your favorites and maybe even meet them. So if any of you lovelies wish to stop by hit me up and let me know how I can help you with a German connection if you don't already have one. I mean I got my start in the D and it got me started on my path to where I find myself now. So I am more than happy to be someone you can talk to, ask questions and make plans or connect you to the Euro scene. By the way if none of you have seen yet the first ever Alt Fest in the UK is a massive festival, the biggest yet and was started through kickstarting and crowd sourcing and was very democratic asking people what they wanted and well so far its grown massive and is offering not only an impressive line up but a fully immersive and diverse experience for all ages. I am impressed and at the same time bummed I can not go since I have so many priorities and little money at this time. I can bet if this is successful it will give German festivals a run for their money. I hope the US looks upon this too and sets something up similar to help maybe breath some new life into the US scene. Ok well I rambled on plenty. Just enjoying the cool evening after a bike ride with my hubby. So excited about our move to Leipzig. Heres pictures of the apartment we are renting located centrally in Leipzig near everything. Off a main intersection with street trams(strassebahn), near the main train station goth clubs, bars like the renowned and very old bar Auerbachs Kellar Theres also an Absinth Bar and a really cool Goth Club called Dark Flower. And of course the yearly Wave Gotik Treffen which almost is the whole week. The festival itself is around 4 days but pre and after parties turn the town black for pretty much the whole week. I am also working on designs and trying to make extra much needed moola right now and getting my gothic art, decor, crafting and accessory stuff on the go. I can make so much and once I have the supplies nothing can stop me. These are photos of our new Lair which we are soon to rent. I cant wait to do the wallpaper and and redecorate it into our dark dwelling. Of course I will be encouraging any friends from both the Detroit, LA and German scenes to come visit and crash for the festivals. Anyways must hop into bed.
