Oh yeah I seen this site. I do love them and Bella Umbrella but im broke. I would love the pruple and black parasol for M'era Luna. I have to find the funds to order one locally to be here on time for M'era Luna. Going through a divorce and shit and do not really have anyone I can mooch off. Not that it is a practice I use but I am looking for someone to lend me a lil bit of moola so I can get new shoes and stuff. Or at least offer my artistic and graphic design services lol. I have TUK kitty mary janes but they pretty much falling to bits. The rubber soles are breaking apart and rocks and water get up in my shoes. I love new rock but they are insanely expensive for me. I have the problem i have big feet and legs.

excited but stressed. So much to get ready before next month. Also my boyfriend has moved in with me and we gotta get all his crap here form his place yet. Enjoying the not too hot not too cold weather here and looking for good shoes and parasols for my victorian lolita dress. I am a emotional rollercoaster but things are on the better side recently.

I do not go outdoors much at least when the sun is high. My skin doesnt do well in the sun at all. I have a sun allergy. I do have to go out for the whole weekend of M'era Luna but I will be covered and have a parasol and stuff lol. Anyways I'm back on posting. I do not know if any of you are familiar with Real Industrial Radio but I think the DGN website could possibly benefit from a format similar to that with a built in online radio playing goth and industrial music. Other than that next time I am in Michigan I hope some people will hang out with me and rescue my guy and me from Algotucky. Everytime I visit my parents in Algonac I end up stuck in their place and taken to local waterholes full of country cowboy wannabees and preppies by a couple old school mates. Well anyways I am back on DGN. Greetings aus Deutschland!

body mods
the_fairy_gothmother replied to Simon Bar Sinister's topic in Fashion, Beauty and Costume.
I think tongue splitting is kind of cool but thats a pain thing I would be too much of a wuss to go through with. I have many tattoos and piercings. I am having my nipples repierced soon. I love ear piercings. I have mine pierced and stretched to half an inch and an industrial. I have a septum and labret. Used to have a monroe but I felt my face was getting cluttered piercing wise and removed it. I have my eyebrow as well. I do not care for surfacepiercings so much because they can easily reject or migrate. I do not believe I would have this problem since all my piercings so far have done great. I think some dermals are cool. Not so much into the implants under skin though because again it seems painful and rather not have lumpy bits under my skin I think it would feel annoying like a big zit from the pressure until you get used to it or it heals. I say to each their own on what and the amount of mods. I think it looks great on some and not so on others. The overstretching of the labret, nose and cheeks are a bit far for me. Even stretching the ears to a huge size is for me not that great. After you can fit a can of coke in your ear I think its going a bit far and making the ear dangerously thin and weak and I seen enough pictures of when that goes bad and its not pretty. The funny thing is back in school when I first seen plugs and tunnels showing up in peoples ears I thought eww no way would I do that. I thought it looked cool but I kept thinking what would happen when I am old or something withb huge holes in my ears. Of course the more I got into body art and modification the more it appealed to me so I started. I have kept the current size for the past couple years. My septum has only been stretched from a 16 to 14 guage and I think the biggest I would ever go is a 10 because I have a small nose. Also stretching my septum proves to be a little more painful than the ears I can tolerate pain afterall I took tattoos to the fingers and can tell ya the hands suck almost more than anywhere. As for below the belt again I think its cool but overdoing it or well mutilating your genitals not so cool. I seen some mods to guys junk that make me think WTF WHY???? My bf is getting a PA and thats fine by me. I think the functional piercings anyways seem interesting. The piercings I do not understand are webbings of fingers, toes, and the web between the upper lip and gums in the mouth. It only looks like something that will damage the teeth and gums. I know a properly placed tongue piercing with the right jewelry wont damage the teeth if you dont play with it or get smashed in the mouth but some piercings for me only equal too risky for something to go wrong and I guess being kind of a klutz I try staying on the safer side becaause I dont fancy teared and ripped flesh or smashed teeth. -

just discovered Norwegian black metal...
the_fairy_gothmother replied to Corvus's topic in Music Discussion
I put aside their views and enjoy it anyways. If anything Symphonic Black Metal is especially one of my favorite Genres. Dimmu Borgir might be more your taste even with satanic imagery and occult/pagan themes I cannot deny the epicness of their use of real symphony orchestras and have even performed with the full orchestra and choir. It is a genius combination. And one of the former members of Apoptygma Berzerk is now in Dimmu though I prefered Mustis There is Black Metal like Immortal that are more theatrical and for show. The singer of Immortal Abbath said in an interview he does it for the music and show. He isnt into the church burning or politics. I am hoping the Extreme Metal documentary is completed soon. The same guy who did Metal Evolution and Headbangers journey is completing a documentary on Extreme and black metal which will only be on DVD since the network did not want to pick it up air it since its full of alot of disturbing stuff. As far as when it goes for music I always take things which have opposite views for entertainment value. If theres music I like that has a message I like great but if its they sing about things I would otherwise say WTF or not my thing it just becomes music with little meaning but enjoying the craftsmanship or creativity/techniques. I think you might also enjoy Progressive Death metal DJENT and Technical Death metal. Periphery, Meshugga, Tesseract, Textures, Between the Buried and Me, Animals as Leaders are more driven on abstract ideas and engineering and performing music that is more on an intellectual level believe it or not. They blend clean vocals in as well and Periphery even has some spacey geeky video game themes to some of their music. Animals as Leaders is purely instrumental. As much as I am a goth I am also deep down a metal head too. Oh and you may have heard of them but Gothminister is a good band from Norway. They blend theatrical goth/industrial music with heavy metal riffs and put on quite the show. :D -

http://www.meraluna.de/en/ http://vimeo.com/63337597#at=0 Hey Everyone its me The Fairy Gothmother! I have not posted for a long time and sorry for that. Life has been hectic for me moving around the country and world. So some of you may already know if your a friend on Facebook that I currently live in Germany. Thats right Deutschland! I am sooo happy to be in the heart of the Goth scene where many of our favorite bands come from and where some of the worlds biggest gothic gatherings and festivals are held. I am most definately attending M'era Luna which will be my first big festival here since I have lived here. the line up in my opinion is pretty good. NIGHTWISH //HIM //ASP //FRONT 242 //DEINE LAKAIEN [acoustic] //BLUTENGEL //FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY //APOPTYGMA BERZERK //MONO INC. //THE CRÜXSHADOWS //STAUBKIND //SALTATIO MORTIS //IAMX //MESH //THE 69 EYES //TANZWUT //THE KLINIK //END OF GREEN //[:SITD:] //NACHTMAHR //KIRLIAN CAMERA //HAUJOBB //GOTHMINISTER //DIORAMA //CULTUS FEROX //CLAN OF XYMOX //IN THE NURSERY //COPPELIUS //OST+FRONT //EISENFUNK //LORD OF THE LOST //UNZUCHT //SCHWARZER ENGEL //THE ARCH //EDEN WEINT IM GRAB //RÊVERIE //DESDEMONA //MOLLLUST //Lesung: ASP & KAI MEYER //Lesung: MARKUS HEITZ //Lesung: BORIS KOCH //Lesung: CHRISTIAN VON ASTER // Very excited and just to let you know anyone who ever wants to come experience the festivals or just visit hit me up. I will be more than happy to host you at my place. If a group of DGNers want to come over and go to a festival we can all save money on group travel fares and trains and having me with my ok german language skills and my boyfriend who speaks fluent as hes German will also be helpful! I owe some respect to the Detroit scene. I got alot of inspiration and its where I started.

I agree on that level. There are alot of kitchen scratchers out there and you get what you pay for well hopefully cause if they were to charge same prices as a pro and you end up with scribble like for instance my brother. He got a chest piece done by his wifes step dad. One of worst tattoos I ever seen lol. He paid like $140 for it too. I was like yikes. You are right though if you go to someone shitty then you deserve it but then again its sad because many people are not educated enough about the art. Underage minors seek out people who will tattoo them cheap and outside professional shops so their parents and the shops wont stop them. Thats one thing that worries me. someone sure will do something if they want to badly enough but I do appreciate your opinion on this. I am even guilty of trying to start tattooing with little knowledge of it but once I really started getting into it I realized theres more to this than I thought and stopped because I wanted to do things properly. I only tattooed a few people and thankfully they were small simple tattoos and they didnt get hurt or scarred or infection even though I was using disposable tubes grips and stuff. I just feel form my own experience and being friends with artists who went through grueling long apprenticeships that this seems like a bad idea but who knows. I just know Those students who take that course will find it almost harder to get into a shop because most professionals have no respect for it. And the ones who appear on the TV show will find it even more increasingly harder to not only get apprenticeships or shop work but even tattoos from professionals because unfortunately they will get treated like a joke. I personally dont believe in disrespecting anyone myself and I would give any student the benefit of the doubt if they are passionate and have some skill in what they are getting into then undoubtedly they may have potential to become great artists and shop owners. I just also think a crash course in tattooing should be longer than 2 weeks considering they are paying nearly $5000. that would get me a couple semester of college courses not 2 weeks of one class.
