  1. one of these times you will do a guest set at Necto that I can attend. Sadly today is not one of them :( Hope it turns out fantastic!
  2. Damn, christmas song would have been a good one (would have gone with "Fuck Christmas" by Fear myself) In regards to your question: Tom Waits, any song. Any Extraterrestrials worth knowing should be fans of Tom Waits What song do you enjoy singing in random locations (shower, airport lounge, wandering the aisles of Wal-Mart, etc)?
  3. Only Rain by Bad Religion In fact I will listen to it now What Cover version of a song do you feel is better than the original or at least more closely represents the nature of said song (meaning it may not be better than the original, but it works in regards to the themes present in the song)?
  4. Looks like I pulled a DJ Saint Answer, damn not sure, spent too much time with the more modern Punk Rock bands who didn't do a lot of the mohawk thing, and never really paid that much attention to the style of the hair of the bands I listen to, so I'll just say Rancid, and move on :D
  5. You have a talent Mr Saint This is tough because most of the albums I've got don't generally have songs like that. The exception maybe the Songs in the Key of X (a compilation of alternative tracks selected by Chris Carter, creator of the X-Files). It may have been my age, or just the insinuation of the song, and I still can't bring myself to listen to the whole thing, but Star Me Kitten (star being Fuck) by REM and featuring William S. Burroughs on the vocals. Just creeped me out for some reason. What is a song that you feel defines you, either in part or as a whole, or you just think is totally kickass and should be your theme song?
  6. Increasingly MP3's with CD's a close second. Not so many tapes, most of which I don't even have laying around, or a deck to play them and very little vinyl. What song would you want playing during the final push in a race; say a marathon or 5k or century (100mile bike race), or something of that sort?
  7. Geez, that's kind of a tough one, probably Ian Curtis due to the influence Joy Division has had on the musical scene and his abrupt end at the age of 23. What is your favorite band, musician or song you are least likely to admit to?

  9. Yeah, it helped a bit that I hadn't seen so many horror movies that finding decent (or not so decent as the case maybe) FTV's was rather easy. Good luck on completing your challenge!
  10. And done. Will post reviews, final list, etc. in winners lounge sometime this week.
  11. Oh, yeah, yes it is, but I love that movie (Haven't seen Inside yet, may have to check that one out sometime).
  12. Yet another voice added to the chorus of, dammit, can't make it. Seems all this fun stuff is just cropping up that weekend and I'm gonna miss it. ah well, DC and the MCM are calling me, and I will heed that call.
  13. well if you are going to be that accurate: 51.612903225806451612903225806452% done as of 10/12/2011.
  14. Damn, makes me almost regret flying out to Washington D.C. to run a marathon that weekend. But I already paid for the ticket and the race, and thus I will miss this event. Have a good one!
  15. yeah, was also thinking about American Psycho, which I always saw as satire, or black comedy, but is sometimes categorized as horror.
  16. I get that, it is problematic. I say that if it is allowed, keep it, I may just wait until I have completed the challenge or November to check out Troll Hunter, just because it is so problematic.
  17. For anyone who might still be interested, You may want to sign up soon for this event as it is at 60% capacity (and it tends to fill up quick).
  18. Er, can Troll Hunter really be considered horror? From everything I've read about it, I got the impression that it wasn't, which is why I have been putting off watching it (and I really want to see that movie).
  19. Agreed. Loved the opening sequence and there are a couple of bits later on that really got things moving, but it does take it's time to build up to the climax. Well done, well acted film.
