  1. Hood To Coast. About the 197mile Hood To Coast relay race in Oregon. It was quite good.
  2. That movie was freaking hilarious I saw it a little while back and laughed my ass off.
  3. Well it is produced by M. Night, hence why it is probably not nearly as bad as it would be if it were written and directed by M. Night. (although he apparently did write the story, but not the screenplay, another positive in the films favor.)
  4. I guess if one wanted to film a post-apocalyptic city without going digital, one needs go no further than Detroit. It is rather sad, when one thinks about it.
  5. Really should, man, I've gone and it was really fun. May try to make it back to noirRetro in the future, depending on what I've got going on at that time.
  6. You killed a hooker! She's a call girl! When she's dead, she's just a hooker!
  7. I'm confused, "your native son"? Are you referring to Weird Al? If so he was born in California, hardly a Canadian Native.
  8. YAY! the spelling is corrected! Ok, on to your regularly scheduled thread.
  9. Truly, as we all know, the real origin of skinny jeans is a throw back to the 18th century when men were men and real men wore tights. Alright, I'm gonna stop now before I get hurt.
  10. Cover of the Tom Waits song. I am a huge fan of Waits, but this is the best version of this song in existence.
  11. I realize that, and that is something that is to be appreciated. But, spelling errors still bother me. For example, one of my favorite magazines is Skeptic Magazine, which is primarily written and produced by volunteers. I still find the massive number of grammatical and spelling errors irritating. It's even worse when it's in a book.
  12. She was referring to my comment there about relevance. granted she probably didn't need to reference your quote directly if her comment was not directed at just your comment. Just a thought.
  13. well every Friday I have been there, CC has been practically dead. So relevant is a proper word. I never said anything about it being a bad idea and all my questions were honest ones (the last one was a joke, you know, those statements people with a sense of humor like to tell, also marked with a smiley). Finally, yeah the first statement is kind of jackass-y (but also somewhat honest, maybe "bese" is a word) but that kind of mistake drives me up a wall. If you want me to help, send the fliers my way so I can proof read them before making them live. Some basic QA is all I am asking for there.
  14. Did you misspell "best" on that flyer? Or is "bese" a word I am unaware of? This sounds like an interesting attempt at keeping Friday nights relevant, is the tribute night consisting of only Depeche Mode music or Depeche Mode and Depeche Mode inspired music? Kind of curious. Also, is this something that is going to continue going forward? Should I be looking forward to the Air Supply tribute night?
  15. Huh, that's odd, I just checked Gamespot.com on Gran Turismo, they gave it an 8 out of 10 and the conglomeration of critics that Gamespot's site referenced (non-gamespot reviews) seem to average out to 8.5. Seems most critics actually liked the game. I generally use multiple sources for determining whether a game (or movie for that matter) is any good. It is also why rottentomatoes.com (which does movies exclusively) and metacritic.com (which aggregates game scores along with other media types) can be your friend. Currently playing WoW cataclysm, want to finish my run of Dragon Age before the next one comes out, would love to be playing Black Ops (I still need to get Modern Warfare 2, and would like to get World at War, as I have been a fan of the CoD franchise since the first game) but currently don't have the cash for it, or the time for that matter, especially if I want to get out and do things with friends and run marathons and such.
  16. some I've enjoyed from the earlier days of Punk:
  17. Damn, well first things first, I need to get the Hot Rod built. Or Rat Rod as will most likely be the case.
