  1. damn, you really are a music snob, I will have to check this out.
  2. Well I suppose it is nice that you, Canada and Kevin Smith are all happy. At least we gave you a run for your money, the game had to go into OT for Canada to win.
  3. well of course, but that was part of the charm of the series. I had only seen bits of seasons 3 and 4 prior to the rest showing up on Hulu, and I must admit, I am enjoying the series immensely. Plus, gotta give props to ep 4 of season 1, it had Malcolm McDowell as a good guy, something that rarely seems to happen.
  4. If you've never seen this series, now is your chance. At least if you live in the States, or have a decent proxy. Cheesy effects, sometimes silly story lines, but a highly entertaining series non the less.
  5. Then you might enjoy Monster Talk. It takes a far more critical look at most of the stories (I am a hard nosed skeptic, so I tend to recommend those sorts of things to others) but is fairly entertaining, and includes various experts to attempt to discern what is and is not possible.
  6. When I hear satan say he's an angel all I can think of is "Look, an angel, Mr. Bubbles!" Of course when I see pictures of little girls I see the options to rescue or harvest pop up next to them so, I suppose that explains the thought process.
  7. 3 of the bloggers from Skepchick.org (Elyse, Maria (Masala Skeptic), and Carrie (Carr2D2)) and members of the Chicago Skeptics group. It was a hell of a lot of fun and an opportunity for me to get out and meet new people. I certainly can understand the time off situation and that does make total sense, there have certainly been times when I've had to miss out on things because of an inability to get out of work or something similar.
  8. I am going to New Orleans next weekend to run a Half Marathon. Will probably do another in Chicago (and possibly make another trip back there just to visit relatives in that area). Will be doing my first full marathon in October (Detroit) followed by another 2 weeks later in Virginia. (Marine Corps!) Still thinking about doing Dragon*Con in September, considering going to TAM in Las Vegas, but only if I get the cash to do so before the tickets for that are sold out. And to follow Nate, good luck Candyman. While I have not been in the military myself, my sister, brother-in-law, grandfather, and 2 uncles, not including several cousins that are either in or were in the military at one time.
  9. Oh, whine I guess I don't consider "an hour and a quarter away" reason enough not to go to an event. Unless you are just not that interested in going. I once traveled for 5.5hrs to Chicago to spend a mere 7hrs with a group of people I had never met in person before, and only knew a little bit from a blog I follow, then returned (what ended up being a 7hr drive back) that same night. It was sort of stupid but incredibly worth it.
  10. I'd find this more entertaining if I hadn't seen something almost exactly like it, about 5 years ago.
  11. ...I'm a man of wealth and taste I've been around for a long, long year Stole many man's soul and faith... Yeah, couldn't be helped. Welcome from one newb to another.
  12. Personally I liked that fact that Engine found his own post too long to read and decided to sum up after the fact. It was entertaining as fuck though. and this next bit is totally off topic and I'm sure has been mentioned before but @GothicRavenGoddess (yes I twitter) that Fellowship animated gif is fucking hilarious. [/end Imma let you finish...]
  13. TODD: What is that? LOVETT: It's priest. Have a little priest. TODD: Is it really good? LOVETT: Sir, it's too good, at least! Then again, they don't commit sins of the flesh, So it's pretty fresh. TODD: Awful lot of fat. LOVETT: Only where it sat. TODD: Haven't you got poet, or something like that? LOVETT: No, y'see, the trouble with poet is 'Ow do you know it's deceased? Try the priest!
  14. Yay music! No wait, um, yeah Yay music! I apparently was slightly wrong on the name of that song. It was Lux Aeterna by Chris Mansell and performed by Kronos Quartet, although it is on the same soundtrack, by the same artists, and basically sounds the same as Summer Overture. That, and the actual song, as I was aware, and may have mentioned, was a remix of Lux Aeterna not Summer Overture. Yay Google!

  16. Hi, I'm new. I came here looking for playlists and found them. Thanks! I also apparently had a bit of fun with the signature, not so much that it is full of images and crazy colored text and such, but it maybe overlong. I'll shorten it later. Bye!
  17. Ah come on, any song that's been covered by Cartman is ok in my book. http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/254171
