  1. I wish DGN night was on Fridays. I like Fridays better.
  2. Hello to you. I see you like Karaoke:) and Doll making....yay! lol

  3. I actually did go for once and it wasn't worth the drive. I just wasn't feeling it last night. We stayed maybe an hour and a half.
  4. I used to love those old hole in the wall bars for karaoke but now all you hear is people singing country music. I can't handle that.
  5. Yes, the boning does make all the difference. However, I'm not always in the mood to have my insides squished into oblivion but when I am.....
  6. I took sewing in middle school and can sew a little bit. I recently had my mom's old vintage singer in the shop and it works great but I never have any time to play with it. I did make my kids some pajama pants which turned out ok. I don't even have time to take a class but maybe one day when .....nevermind:(
  7. I have both cheap and not so cheap corsets. They both have the plus sides, the cheap ones are cheap and the good ones are good. lol.
  8. Your feelings are normal and it's OK. What matters most is how you deal with them and it sounds like you're dealing with them well. I wish the best for you and your family and hope that one day you do get what you deserve.
  9. I actually like Slim Fast (I buy the Costco brand). I don't drink it everyday because it's just not enough calories but I like to keep them on hand for those times when I'm just too busy to sit down and eat. I can drink one real quick in the morning or afternoon and not have to skip a meal. I also like them for pre-workout because they settle faster than solid food. This biggest thing when it comes to losing weight is lifestyle changes. Troy, you mentioned not being able to stick to meal plans because it's too much work but after awhile it becomes habit and eating healthy becomes easy. I love myfitnesspal for tracking my food but I honestly don't need to do it anymore, after years of healthy lifestyle and food tracking I can mentally tally my food plus my eating habits are right in line with my calorie goals without any effort. Exercise is where I need to focus my energy. I am moderately active, I need to become super active:) Weight loss should be a long term goal for a lifestyle not a diet. I'm 100 lbs lighter than I was 10 years ago and there's no chance I'll ever gain that back. I'd have to purposely stuff my face and sit around doing nothing because those things are no longer habit for me.
  10. I got outta work early so I'll be there:) It's been way too long.
  11. The 90's was the Best! Lithium on Sirius Radio is my most listened to station:) They really to make a Nirvana channel though cuz they play them constantly. I believe Sirius has a Pearl Jam station but I haven't listened to it, I would prefer a Soundgarden station to P.J. anyday.
  12. Happy early Birthday Kat!! I will be working or I'd come.
  13. I agree!!! I can't say that I've never downloaded music without paying but it's rare. I want to pay the artists!!! If I don't want to pay, I'll just listen to it on youtube but that of course has it's limitation so if I decided I like something, I buy it. I've also taught my 13 year old daughter that she needs to pay for music she wants even if her father thinks it's just fine to steal whatever he wants. If she wants to buy a new song, I can easily find something for her to do that will earn her $1.29 in less than 15 minutes. I like to get paid for going to work and deserve it.
  14. I love polo sport:) I also like the Axe products that my husband uses but he doesn't use the body sprays or colognes just the soaps and deodorants. I love the smell of Axe Dark Temptation. Like Lacilliyr above mentioned the scent of them is so strong you don't really need anything else.
  15. I wish you luck in finding someone. I wish I could help. Aren't there agencies that provide this type of service? I know that my grandmother had what she and my mother called, "Chore people" that came to do things for her weekly. Although, I guess if there were you'd already be in a position to know about it.
  16. LOL. That's good. I remember being kicked out once cuz one of my friends (who was a female douche) refused to buy a drink even though the other two of us were paying customers. I guess technically she was the only one who was kicked out but of course we left with her. Shoulda let her go alone for being so ....whatever.
  17. I'd like to come out either Friday or Saturday this weekend. I need to dance!
  18. I don't think it should be considered pre-exsisting if he had never been diagnosed before but of course they're gonna try to avoid paying whatever they can. Health Insurance sucks!
  19. I think the other half of it is not whether or not they want you to be there but do you want to. I hate going to family affairs and so does my husband so unless it's immediate family we are always unavailable to attend. I'd rather go to City Club and dance with a bunch of strangers than a boring ass wedding and dance with a bunch of strangers to crappy wedding music.
  20. I wish I could say that I'd be there but I've gotten myself into a pregnancy predicament and even though I tell myself that I can still stay up late and have fun, I can't. 9pm is my bedtime now which is substantially later than the 7pm it was a few months ago and will be again soon I'm sure. Of course after all this I'll be staying up all night....feeding the baby. Is it going away to college yet????
  21. Thank You for posting!! but now I'm dying for some zombie action and I won't get it for months!!! I love hearing Rick Grimes speak with a British accent btw. lol.
  22. Hey, that's awesome! Is that the paul mitchell in Sterling Hts? I've always wanted to go to school to learn that stuff just for my own self, not as a career but that's a lot of time and money for a hobby. I've thought about going to Paul Mitchell to get my hair done, I actually have been going to The Gallery cuz it's closer to me. I like the students:) Good Luck!
  23. Not so randomly waves back... and smiles:)

  24. That place has been around forever. It used to be called Deebe's coffee bar. I went to high school down the street.
  25. http://preservationwayne.org/45-2/detroit-heritage-tours/ In case anybody is interested Preservation Wayne has walking tours of the city every Tuesday and Saturday starting in May. I can't wait to start going on some of them. Detroit Wheel house has biking tours and there's also a company that does segway tours.
