  1. Yeah I agree. Family was watching tv and I saw the report. For crying out loud: Very attractive girl!
  2. Sad and totally devastating. RIP Brother.
  3. Saw Iron Man 2 opening weekend, kicked as much ass as the first one. Going to see Robin Hood sometime today.
  4. Yeah I ended up going yesterday as well. Adam West was charging $60, but at least he was friendly with and talking to the people who walked up to his table, Marina Sirtis' table was right next to his, usually celebs who charge that much are complete and total assholes. Met a bunch of people, the wrestlers were all really nice, met more of them now than I ever got to when I was into it. And all the celebs were kind enough to retake pictures if they were messed up. My blog has the full skinny on my experience: http://djnihil.blog.com
  5. Oh thanks for the info. I agree that's too damn early. Hopefully being at work won't be a factor.
  6. Thinking that I'm off to watch more of my Daria DVD set.
  7. Thanks! The time change is going to work out a lot better, esp. with my new job and HFCC's terrible parking lot situation going on..... And I'm bridging the weekend gap between Sat. at City Club and Mon. at Necto.
  8. I wonder when Abney Park is playing. They are one of my sole reasons for going. I'll be glad when there's a schedule.
  9. Me thinks I may have to go to Necto for a change if that's the case. Funding is running low and I could use free tix.
  10. I'll go. Kinda starting to be broke, but hope autographs won't be too expensive nor will pictures with celebs and comic people.
  11. I didn't know Cronenberg did conventions. Must be a rare appearance. Heather Langenkamp is gonna be there too. Coolness.
  12. Sleeplessness. Slept only 6 hours last night and can't sleep more, but I am so very tired.
  13. \Too true. We could use Wawa as well. I am glad however to have Denny's, the last remaining Bennigan's, a buttload of Coney Islands, and Del Taco. Home for me is also Bubble Island and Pinball Pete's in Ann Arbor and WHFR in Dearborn.
  14. Bump reflecting new day and time in original post. Now Midnight to 2Am on Sundays.
  15. Yeah there was and I was at that show. it was pretty kick ass. Surprised he passed us up this time.
  16. Fuckin' eh that an impressive guest list. Hopefully I can request time off from work to accomodate a day or two of that.
  17. IGNORE THE MACHINE! Sorry, couldn't resist. New stuff sounds alright though.
  18. For the Star Trek: TNG nerds, Marina Sirtis confirmed for MCCC just a few short days ago.
  19. I heard about the movie, while browsing on IMDb, wish more of the independent stuff would get a wider release. I guess we will have to wait for DVD for this. However, MI does get a fair share of good stuff. Saw The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo a couple weeks ago at the Maple Art, and that was a TERRIFIC film. Was hoping we'd get after.life w/ Christina Ricci, Liam Neeson, and Justin Long, but no dice on that either.
  20. Good luck OP. I've been doing a show for about a year now on HFCC's volunteer station playing Goth, 80s, Synthpop, New Wave, EBM, Electro, and Industrial. Post some of the genres and I'll be happy to recommend some suggestions.
  21. Even dogs have gotten in on the act:
  22. I need to get my fat ass in gear and exercise. However, I need a job so I can afford a gym membership again. People will say mind over matter, and walk around and do free exercises. That's fine and good and all, but I get too wrapped up in distractions if I go out walking and whatnot, the atmosphere of a gym helps me to focus, and I really don't have the room for weights or anything at my house. I also want to lose weight, as I have been gaining an alarming amount this last two years. I went from being 225-230 and now am around 275-290. Its awful. I feel terrible and my clothes are starting to get too tight. Here's to finding a new job so I can start working out again.
  23. Yeah KA is a pretty cool flick. I was proud to see it was #1 opening weekend. Favorite part for me was where he was training by jumping off the rooftops and hesitated at the last minute.
  24. The show was awesome! So glad I finally got to see them live! Haven't had that great a time at a concert in ages. Got to meet Tom afterwards and he is so incredibly nice. Snapped a pic too: Hope the rest of you who went enjoyed it as much as I.
