I like Ron Paul. Though I hope on any chance he was elected, his stance on abortion would be left up to the state (since he once supported a federal pro-life bill). There is the argument against Ron Paul concerning the private market, but it just needs pressure on it to keep it from being antagonistic. You could elect an extremely ethical, intelligent, and motivated person, and with the way America uses its military and its "military over diplomacy" foreign policy, on top of which on a credit-based economy, he or she would be in over their head. It sucks that money and distance always come into the equation. If someone I'm interested in doesn't live close or have a deep interest in being around me then it seems like there's no point, between lack of money and college. But I no longer share the sense of small-town escapism as people my age, especially just because I can't find a date. I'm not big on long drives, and I care more about what's going on locally, on more of a county basis, especially "liberally" in a cultural sense; which all comes down to money (unfortunately) and ambition, where liberal events or lack thereof determine the local demography.

More recently this year I've played Spelunky and Dungeon Defenders (both of which could use some updates to make them better games). I've almost beat Torchlight, occasionally play Oblivion, and Mass Effect 3. I'm looking forward to the Minecraft update that's coming the Fall. I'm not big on tabletop/board/card games, which I have played a game or two of cards, Pokemon, or Magic while drinking; its extremely hard for me to manage all the math in Magic when I am intoxicated. Lately the most active thing I play is my uber character on Morrowind GOTY Edition which is one of the few games this PC can run.

I have people I've known for a long time and even though I rarely see them, when we see each other everything is cool. It might not be exactly the same to seeing someone every day, week or month, but people get busy one way or another and that kills the time to be social. It seems like when you see someone every day your bound to end up arguing at some point, even over something completely retarded, and if your a guy-- drunk. I've called off a lot of partying and hanging out usually because I needed to weight train, and I won't let anything get in the way of it except extreme sickness.

I can't drink tea at all anymore, its not the caffeine, and it makes no sense. Stuff just makes me gag or get sick.

Today has been ominous. The one person who made it worse is not worth the time. I'm not going to let anything pull me down. Also, my earphones broke and I don't feel like playing music through speakers. I have pretty much realized that I have a physical addiction to music, and this is the withdrawal. I feel in my ears the way someone trying to quit smoking feels in their brain. I probably needed it though.

Its time to get some serious writing done. Edited to add: When I think about the amount of characters in my head from the sum-total of Fiction I'm working on, its beyond the RAM in my head. I've finished writing a scene tonight I've been working towards on and off for months, that takes place at a frat party, and I'm really happy with it. It mirrors pieces of my life from the handful of house parties I've been too, though sometimes reality is stranger than fiction, and I don't have any plans to write about chain-smoking 15 year old gangstas. Its great to have my protagonist essentially growing in a way that's both altruistic and poetically dark. And in a sense, he's in the grey or liberal with the ethics in which he's affecting his community.

Simultaneously extremely pissed-off and extremely happy. There was a lightning storm, luckily it was short. I really should keep a bottle of cheap wine around in case of such situations but wine gives great buzzes and I'm afraid I would have to replace it too often.

I've definitely been in the mood for rowdy distortion. Also I didn't intend for Nirvana to have a runtime of 420 though its pretty funny.
