Thanks. The safe space thing is why I only post on reddit once in awhile with throwaways, and don't have a dedicated account there anymore. My opinions were not well received.

Give up Troy, Goth Is Dead
Class-Punk replied to Class-Punk's topic in Relationships, Pets & Domestic Homelife
Well I still haven't found my hat. And it can also be well preserved with salt water. -
I need to start a song with "I'm not going to fucking pay you, I don't need your fucking promotion." Then I'll pay to put it on iTunes.

I think in most cases, before social interaction, before exercise, before sleep and everything else, diet and nutritional deficiency is the primary cause of depression. Eat some protein, eat some fat, eat some fruits or vegetables, get sunlight or take Vitamin D3, and drink water (apart from other drinks) daily. That's what works for me. I have a highly avoidant attachment style which is to say I'm highly avoidant, for a couple years now I've tried to carve out a science of how to live best while remaining single and even sometimes avoiding social interaction, like a monk, what I've learned is that the importance of diet is critical.

That video has over a million views. And some other gothic dressed youtubers have videos with over a million views. I remember when that community was a lot smaller. Its weird how its taking off, which I suppose is good for normalizing goth. But one thing that remains is that even with the increase in goth youtubers, most goth videos on youtube are boring content, in my opinion. One of my mottos in life is "pretty = nothing". I can understand how politeness means bigger, better community, and is also a huge deal for business that people owning bars and nightclubs need to get through their giant, female-centric heads. But the punk aspect of gothic culture, or the willingness to explore fringe ideas or create new ones that can go along with it, seems like its been consumed by the political left, as opposed to a more individual or anti-establishment position aligning with punk. In goth at present, there's either too much politeness to the point that individual thought is stamped out, like the political left, or impoliteness without any substance behind it. The Necto crowd has a lot of edgy young people that fall the latter category, which is to also say they are probably edgy-dressed proponents of the present leftist establishment, rather than contrarians who oppose the problems of established societal power like original punks and all of their similar offshoots of people, or more ideally, evidence-based, fallacy avoiding thinkers, who are intellectual punks; and I think this leads to both a musical drought and intellectual drought, both being connected to each other. I'm not trying to argue for either side of the coin because I'm not sure I can, but just lay out cause and effect. I am often bored with gothic culture. But the majority of goth youtubers are women, which goes along with the focus online and offline in goth being so heavily geared towards fashion, and women have more in-group preference than men. So it is what it is, you can't convince an unreasonable group with reason, and the majority of human beings are, due to more focus on short term survival than long term survival, unreasonable. However, you'd probably get this place more traffic by appealing to women more, if the youtube data mirrors real life.

I'm not saying this to look super goth, but I recently stabilized the Vitamin D levels in my blood from prolonged lack of sunlight. The gap of available energy between those two states is pretty insane. I was looking around my room and bathroom and messes everywhere, wondering why it was so hard to clean them up, like I had been living in a dream for weeks or months at a time.

I just finished working on this from scratch and I'm really happy with it so far.

I need a therapist to convince me to go to the dentist, and I need a dentist to convince me to go to a therapist.

I'm Trying to do Too Much
Class-Punk replied to Troy Spiral's topic in Relationships, Pets & Domestic Homelife
Try taking Vitamin D3. I try to take 6,000 IU's every day to every other day and it motivates me a lot. Sufficient fat like butter, peanut butter, or coconut oil can help with stress too, and daily intake of coconut oil helps alleviate all sorts of neurological disorders. -

Took a lot of work. Please have a look.

You are ballsier than me, I hide some aspects of my life otherwise the trolls would get to me and I'd be arguing with people all the damn time. But I'm not as nice, in the name of one form of moral argument or another, so I might deserve it. -
After messing around with kundalini visualization techniques recently I have to say that I'm still scared shitless of kundalini and still consider it the most powerful form of meditation. I've argued online with people who think abusing it sufficiently can kill someone, but who knows. I had some really positive, short experiences today, but they had drug-like intensity which bothered me a little bit, the experiences I had yesterday involved negative feelings and memories that were over a decade old, that I completely forgotten about, inclusive that they were mine, and I was surprised that they were somehow still stored in my brain without being damaged in one way or another. Having done my own experiment with Emotionally Focused Therapy and attachment theory with disastrous results, it still comes second in my fear and the potential for psychological damage in comparison to Kundalini. After 2011, having short bursts of seizures between the left and right hemispheres of my brain a couple times, and the disorienting, terrifying experience of falling through my own head, among other strange experiences, and having a permanent on and off tick disorder afterwards, I'm taking it slow and gentle, just trying to piece together the closest thing to a simple science of this as I can. I abandoned science and theory around romantic love to come back to this, because I got horribly burned, so I suppose I will stick with whichever mystery I happen to be interested in at any given time, that causes the least amount of mental and physical damage to me.. eventually I will get back to learning about Chemistry on Khan Academy. =D

Meditate and sleep.

Are you Ready for Virtual Reality?
Class-Punk replied to Troy Spiral's topic in Movies, Books, Art, TV, Gaming and Computers
I think I might've been around Goonietown but I don't know for sure. Cybertown will be burned in my head forever. I got to leave from school early, and I was messing around on there. I noticed people talking all about the same thing in the chat, so I turned on the television. It was 9/11 and there was live news footage of one of the smoking buildings, minutes later, the second plane hit. -
Potentially random free flowing thought here

Well its a longshot, but you could always look for a therapist that uses Emotionally Focused Therapy or EFT, its the most successful couple's therapy and claims a 70% success rate, there's also a book called Hold Me Tight by Sue Johnson that's around the same thing and cheaper. You could also try to recommend The Surrendered Wife by Laura Doyle to her, that book has worked for a lot of women for saving their relationships. And then there's The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman which is a bestseller by another couple's therapist. I was sort of forced to study these things to keep evidence of evolutionary psychology from tearing apart my sanity. If you file for divorce you want to hold your anger back like a god, be as calm as possible and get on as good of terms as possible with this woman first, to figure everything out, because she could royally fuck you. I personally wouldn't recommend marriage, or joint bank accounts between people in relationships, to anyone who hasn't already done it. Primarily men. Good luck. -
Looking Less Goth These Days
Class-Punk replied to LadyKay's topic in Relationships, Pets & Domestic Homelife
I wear black, sometimes all black, and sometimes I wear all black while working the graveyard shift-- but I don't really dress up. My boss has given me lectures about getting sunlight. =D Its easier to fit in more with people by not dressing up more gaudy, though you do lose out on feeling like yourself; the alternative is dressing up more and feeling more like yourself, but having a harder time with jobs and dealing with people in general. There are pros and cons either way. When I was younger I wanted snakebite piercings, now I'm 28 and thinking I could live without them. -
When I have the time, I might look into personality disorders more and the evidence behind them, and then see how they might correlate with attachment theory. More than likely though, I'll completely forget about it like a human goldfish.

Take a shower, eat a spicy burrito, meditate, and go to sleep. This is somehow relevant.

Anime women that take more clothes off and do more lewd acts the more letters you type. With achievements. I will outpost TronRP. Its too bad you couldn't "gamify" the board and throw in automated achievements for doing different things, apart from higher post count, I suppose that kind of software doesn't exist yet.

I first read "fleshing out" as "fishing". I first read the word "message" as "massage". --- Sleep deprivation is fucking with my eyesight.

I've been listening to it for years, and its influenced my music. For me DANCE WITH THE DEAD stands out slightly from all the rest.

I got bored this morning so here you go. I wanted to post this on Facebook in more than one place, but I don't want to risk any real life drama over stupid bullshit like song lyrics. There is no Death In June, I don't mind him, I just feel like his guitar work or music is too minimalist for me to want to add in this list. And I'm afraid if I listen to Mark Lanegan I'll get a sore throat. The first song is at the top because its one of the greatest music videos I've ever seen.
