Is amusing

How I love the wisdom of Sarah Palin. -
These things (according to those that appose national health care) would absolutely destroy (corporate) America and make people that work in the health care industry unemployed. I can't see how that will happen since more people will be getting health care and thus making the industry more active which would mean more workers would be needed. It's more of a case that those people that are against the health care bill (wrongfully) believe what corporate health care providers (sic) are telling them. I think if those people understood how many services they get (courtesy of every tax payer) such as the fire dept. public library, public education, law enforcement, public roads - can all be seen as "socialists" ideas or programs and those services haven't made our country a "socialist nation" nor brought about communism. Just my two cents though.

I'm in favor of a check and balance system. There needs to be accountability and corporations need to take responsibility when they break laws. I hear republican supporters that talk about this country being a nation of laws and then I see evidence that large companies are breaking laws and getting away with it simply because they can buy their way out of trouble. And I'm fairly sure people cried "socialism" when minimum wage was enacted. Does anyone here remember what life was like when corporations were allowed to pay whatever they wanted and people had to work 7 days a week just to keep a roof over their heads? Or how about child labor? 12 year old kids working in coal mines to help support their families? And laws were created to stop corporations from taking advantage of people. I guess we should just go back to that era and let corporate suits do what they please because it's for the better of us all that they not have to treat people fair or abide by our nations laws. That way we can be more profitable again.
-
It's so obvious after having seen the republican party hold the middle class and the poor hostage that republican politicians are only trying to do the "right" thing for the entire country. They really are fighting for you and I by denying tax cuts to us unless the rich keep more of their money (ask most conservatives, the rich work harder than you or I for the money they/we 'earn').
-
The wealthy get their way again. President Obama did the best thing considering the situation. At least the Americans that are still having a struggle with this economy will keep getting help till they get back on their feet. And yay to the conservatives, the wealthiest 1% can continue to get their tax breaks. And as we all know, they need every break they can lobby for. It's a win win. Clearly President Obama and the dem's are trying to destroy America by coming to an agreement to help those Americans that are less fortunate at this time. The unemployment benefit extensions is clearly how they intend to make America a socialist/communist nation. Oh the humanity.

And I asked Gaff to post links to back up his statements but are not seeing any such links. I guess if you simply say, this blah blah blah, is the truth then it must be true. Am I allowed to do the same Gaff? I have linked the reason why I disapprove private health care companies. They allow people to die in an attempt to save money. Two people on DGN from the two countries I hear conservatives claim have horrible national health care system state the opposite. They like their health care system. So, where's your proof that their countries have bad national health care? I think it would be hella awesome if our country had something like they have in Canada. But the conservative supporters say no, it's scocialism which will lead to communism (and as we all know, Canada is a very communist country) but the truth is, the wealthy corporate CEO's are the ones that are lobbying against national health care because they stand to lose the mose. Most profits that is.

You know me so well. You know how hard I've worked and just everything about my life in general. I don't call it free, I call it national health care. I'm talking about a health care plan that those that don't/can't afford it now pay into in an attempt to get medical coverage. You on the other hand, seem to be content with thinking that anyone like myself that understands the difference and is not supporting your side is somehow clueless/un educated and somehow must not work and is therefore expecting a hand out from you. You are so wrong and uninformed it's not even real. You can continue to believe whatever helps you sleep at night but if you are so against our nation having a national health care system (because it's socialist) then back up your words and pay back the free education you got and if you have children in school, put them in a private school and stop freeloading on tax payers whom are paying their education. I am not one to favor hypocrites whom only want the "free" (as you call it) things that benefit them. And sir, I have worked harder in life than you would ever be willing to acknowledge so please, stop talking about me as if I don't work for a living and have only gotten your tax money to live on. You support corporate welfare (from what I read I gather this since you have not denounced it) but God forbid the people of America (whom spoke when they elected Obama) should be allowed to have some kind of health care plan.
-
We should give corporate welfare only to the most financially wealthy (because our country depends on them making more money for our survival) and deny as much as possible to the less fortunate whom have obviously not worked very hard and therefor are undeserving of the same kind of handouts er, bailout that wealthy wall street investors/banks are entitled too. They have worked hard enough to deserve my tax dollar without my having a say in it. It's the only way our nation will prosper, didn't you know Phee?

Well this helps to kill the scare tactics that the anti national health care pundits have been using as part of their argument. "Obamacare is just like the Canadian health care system and it sucks. Canadians hate it. You'll die before you see a doctor.....ect." And, it hasn't killed their economy. When you believe scare tactics you end up missing the truth.

I provided proof that even people that have paid for health insurance have been denied treatment so how can conservatives continue to say the system is fine? Continue to allow free market health insurance to flourish? The free market? Doesn't exist. It's a monopoly controlled by the wealthy drug and insurance industry. They control the market. They fear competition. They fear losing stock market shares/profit margins. They fear Americans knowing the truth.
-
Your health care is denied. You anti national health care people can laugh at the source of this video. You can avoid the truth but the truth isn't going away. This woman denied health care coverage resulting in the deaths of people that FRICKIN PAID FOR HEALTH CARE................AND WERE DENIED. Why? (If you had trouble hearing her speak she said, she was told to deny coverage for the better of the companies bottom line)................PROFIT. If that is the system you want to keep then not only are you misguided but you are un American. I'll gladly wait for a conservative rebuttal.
-
Is it fair that I had to pay taxes that kept your school open so you could benefit from an education system that I no longer need? Can I get my money back? I didn't care to pay taxes to get you an education. Why should I care if you got a free education? Since that is the line of logic you are using. I want my money back. That way I can use it to get health care coverage from some corporation that will deny me treatment when I get sick.

There's a rumor going around that Bush did everything right and it was the Dem's that created all of our current debt and jobless rates. Oh, and the housing market bust was their fault too, you know, deregulating was their fault even though the Conservatives are the one's always pushing for deregulation because they claim it will create jobs. Yea, deregulation of the housing market was the best thing the republicans did for America. It cost jobs and made middle class people homeless. I guess they didn't work hard enough.

I have Canadian friends and they laugh at our country for not having the type of health care they have and not only that but they can't understand how a country like ours doesn't have more than one type of health care. What's so wrong with having coverage for those that can't afford it? Have you seen the video of hospital workers dumping people off at police stations to avoid taking care of them? Is that what our country has become? If you don't make enough money your life is worthless? What if you became injured, lost your job and couldn't afford treatment. Would you be ok with a hospital orderly dumping you off when you were sick and un able to take care of yourself? The anti "Obamacare" people it seems just think, it will never happen to them (or a loved one) and it is somehow the other persons fault for "NOT WORKING HARD ENOUGH". What kind of logic is that? How do you know how hard these people have worked? Do you know them? Do you really believe that somehow only the top 1% in this country are the only ones that have busted their asses off to make a life and that somehow the poor are just lazy leaches that need to be done away with? I mean really............is that what you believe?
-
If we would just let the republicans control everything this country would be back on track and all our woes would be fixed and everyone would be back to work and the debt would be gone and we will be living in an era of peace and love and happiness. Hmmmmmm.................when monkeys learn to fly. /sarcasm ranting

After watching employee's from "health care providers" testify to congress that they received bonuses for denying health care in order to save their bosses money - and thus getting bonuses themselves - which led to people dying (in the name of corporate profits) is sickening in the least. I'm sure this is where some conservative supporter will laugh and claim propaganda (or some other such absurd thing) to deflect the truth. Health insurance is a business, out for profit. They deny coverage, ect. to benefit their company. IT IS A FACT, they are not interested in losing money when a customer needs treatment. I have heard the words come out of the mouths of resigned employees testifying to this. So you anti national health care people explain how a life is worth less than a monetary bonus? Our country is so far behind in providing health care it's not even funny anymore. THE BIGGEST CANCER THIS COUNTRY HAS IS INSURANCE COMPANIES. The sooner we do away with corporate (for profit only)insurance the better off this nation will be. There are alternatives.

I have never advocated taking from the rich. But from what you say then I ask, is it ok to take from the poor to bail out the rich? And let me ask you, why did John Q. Taxpayer have to bear the burden of bailing out the wealthy investors on wall street? So that was ok? When they fucked up and got in over their heads with greed and lost their asses on the stock exchange it was ok for them to get billions of tax payers dollars to keep them from losing everything? What about the average American? Where was their bailout? Please show me where it is ok to bail out the rich and not the common American. If these wealthy people are such hard workers and got wealthy on their own hard work then they should be able to get back to that point on their own right? I don't recall seeing small stores get bail outs or mom and pop stores get bail outs. Those places went under. Maybe it's because they didn't have a lobbyist in Washington with connections to get tax money to help them stay in business. And now the same banks that faced going under and accepted tax dollars to keep them in business refuse to lend money because they say people are too much of a risk to lend too? Um, hello kettle, how are you? The banks were taking risks and came out on the short end so you, I and every other not so well to do person is now paying for the mess up. I don't think that was a fair deal. Not only to us but to future generations.
