  1. I am by far, anti American. And if you wish to think of me as ignorant because my thoughts and opinions differ from yours feel free to do so. I like to think for myself and not tow the party line. I am more middle of the road if you must know. I question all political parties and am not a fan of most suits. Being suspicious does not make one un patriotic. And yes, I do take a very dim view of the Republican party because they are more blatant (imo) in their support of tax cuts for the wealthy and they have voted down tax cuts for the poor and unemployment extensions for those that are struggling to make ends meet. How can I rally behind and support a group that is more willing to allow people's lives to go down the drain and continue to give tax cuts to those that already have more than enough money to live on? Please explain to me how I am ignorant in not thinking that the wealthy need more money in their pockets at the expense of the poor and middle class.
  2. Well first, it has nothing to do with any kind of 'scary music' but ok, that aside. If you want the answers it really is all 90% of all politicians that are the cause of our current situation but when making an attempt to clean this mess up (if that's even possible) we as a nation have to just start doing it. I believe that it's both parties, not just this group or that group based on a label (republican, democrat) -- I have always said the citizens of our country need to take back our power. Elections have become a pacifier to most people. "I voted, it made a difference" --- Naw, it didn't. But, that's just my two cents. People can agree, laugh at me or whatever. What it comes down to is the have's controlling the have's very little and it's the little people that the rich depend on to keep this economy going. Something to consider if you ask me.
  3. Taken from this source..........Prisons for profits. I have seen news stories on t.v. relating to this and they've said how the states (some states) have prison's that are privately owned. Those owners have stated that they make profit from building prisons. So imo, it makes sense that they would want more people locked up. The whole system is fucked up.
  4. Am looking for someone here that is either good with building circuit boards or has knowledge/schooling in building circuit boards. Am trying to get an idea of mine off the ground and need help/assistance. Thanks
  5. With 35 years of peaceful war (the two sides technically remain at war because as a peace treaty was never signed) between North and South Korea - N. Korea fired shells at S. Korea early today. News Story. I hope it ends here but somehow I doubt it will. Looks like N. Korea wants to fight again.
  6. Wow - what a blatant ripoff. Most bands have either borrowed ideas from the Beatles or been inspired by them to some degree but that one is atrocious imo. I agree with most ppl's listings here. I wanted to add Meatloaf to my list, never understood what's so special about his music. Mostly it sounds like lame music produced for a lame musical. And Billy Joel..................puke. And Micheal Bolton. And John Tesh............(WTF????) And David Hasselhoff..............wait, we're not in Germany. LMAO!
  7. OH please, next election will swing the other way. Like it has done for decades. Please get over this small election already. I'm posting about something entirely different k? Thank you
  8. Oh yea, now I remember. That lasted a long time didn't it? lol We shouldn't forget that France was the first country to recognize America as a nation plus, they did help us win the revolution. Also, it looks like they were on to a good idea by apposing the war in Iraq. Things haven't exactly gone as planned over there. Oh wait, G.W.B. said the Iraq war was over back in 07 didn't he? What we still fighting for?
  9. I have never heard that it was un-American to like the French. I agree with you 150% on your statement though. Would be nice if American's united and stood up for our rights like they do in Europe. I'm not saying everything in Europe is perfect in case anyone decides to pick at my feelings/statement. At least they are trying is what I'm saying.
  10. French Protest. I admire the French, when they get pissed they will protest in a heartbeat.
  11. Journey Loverboy Niel Diamond Motley Crue Metallica (save for their first three records) Boston The Guess Who Pearl Jam There's more but my mind is drawing a blank right now.
  12. It's not about caring what other nations think in a general sense but rather it's about us caring about our countries future. We used to be a great nation, with many inventors, smart people that cared about whether or not they took advantage of our free education (k-12). Seems in the last 10-15 years we are breeding a popular notion that it's 'cool' to not learn much, to not pay attention to what's going on in Washington. I see this trend getting worse, uninformed people that didn't take education seriously breeding and passing along their lack of interest in learning. Look around and I think you'll notice sooner or later. I myself hope that Idiocracy does not turn out to become true. *shudders*
  13. I was discussing a segment from the Tonight Show with a friend (think it's called J walking) where Jay Leno approaches people at random on the street and asks common knowledge questions (questions such as, who's our current vice president, what country can Tokyo be found....) and almost all that I've ever seen on this segment can't answer simple questions. We agree that, if this is any indication of the level of intelligence our schools produce then is it any wonder why most (or maybe all) foreigners think Americans (most of our population anyway) are morons. Then it made me think of all the reality shows where, let's face it, you see mostly juvenile "adults" (or in some cases, high school students) throwing fits, gossiping, back stabbing and pandering to the lowest common denominator. Is it any wonder this country is turning into a laughing stock? How can we gain the respect we once had? Am I the only one that feels this way?
  14. Our government has refused (i.e. looked the other way, pretended everything was hunky dory) for decades because the lobbyists have been "donating" to politicians "campaigns" (both sides are guilty to some degree) and these contributions have led to bills not signed into law and legislation that only benefits the drug companies. And all along they just figured that no American that makes low wadges would ever figure out the game they've been playing. ................wrong. I think a good portion of Americans are starting to wake up to what's going on and that scares the hell out of them. People are pushing back and saying, "things need to change now". A far a those that are opposed to universal health care I say, what happened to the right to choose? How come you aren't upset with the socialized education that others paid for you to have? Did making public schools bring about communism in America? NO. Did that makes us socialists? NO. And yet, most people that are against free health care are thankful they got a free education. Why not propose this, the government can have people just sign off on paying into national health care and those that want it can pitch in. That way we can still remain a free choice nation. And as a side bonus to the bill we can make those that oppose national health care start paying for their children's education because it's a socialist idea to have free education that's for paid by all the tax payers. Just my two cents though.
  15. And the drug companies are happy with that scenario and wouldn't bat an eyelash if their sales and market values went up at the expense of people's well being. Without sick people, their world will crumble. No cures equals, more medicine prescriptions which lead to, more people dependent on drugs. No cures, just lengthy treatments and expensive meds. I feel bad that there are people taking "medication" that has a side effect like suicide. The treatment is worse than the illness in some cases. Ever pay attention to drug commercials and hear all the side effects? It's like, abdominal bleeding may occur, loss of vision, blood in your stool and on and on....sheesh, almost makes you want to deal with the original problem and skip the side effect horrors. No thanks doc, I'll deal with this stuffy nose and pass on the blood in my stool.
  16. Maybe you can do a pre order vinyl with your audience and if you can work out the numbers and get enough people to sign up you can release your music in the LP format. Just a thought.
