What a monster! I'm against the death penalty in a case like this. I'd rather see him go to prison and get beaten and raped by the other inmates. Castration would be good, also. And, yeah, a "special toy room in the basement." That sounds pretty creepy under any circumstances.

Annoyed that my fiance's school has another snow day. He goes Mondays and Wednesdays, and they had a snow day the Wed before last, and were closed for winter break last week. At least they have online practice tests he can do, but dammit, we're not paying for him to stay home and have me tutor him on practice tests. Annoyed with the snow in general. I can't get anything done in this type of weather without taking my life in my own hands. Great, another day of sitting here screwing around on the internet. I need to get out and do some job hunting, and I don't even have a fax machine here to fax resumes.

I was going to stay out of this thread altogether, but now I feel like I have to defend myself. I never said "You're too skinny for me!" I was dating you when you were that skinny, wasn't I? You were hardly eating anything when I met you, and you were medically underweight. I was worried about your health, so I made sure that you got enough to eat on the days we were together. As for who gets picked on more about weight, fat people, thin people, etc., it's a really pointless argument. I'd be shocked if there is a single person here who hasn't had someone say something mean to them about their appearance at one point or another. I've never been really fat or really skinny, but I've been a healthy weight, and I've been overweight, and I've had my haters both ways. People are insecure about the way they look and feel the need to say something derogatory about the way someone else looks to build themselves up. I'm not saying it's right, but it happens and it's not likely to change any time soon. I've learned to write it off as someone else taking their insecurity out on me, and if I lose or gain weight, it will be because I want to. Screw what anyone else says. As for Kevin Smith...one of the articles posted here said that he had paid for two seats, but the flight he was on only had single seats left. If they had single seats, plural, then why didn't they just ask a smaller person flying by him/herself to switch seats so they could give him the two seats together that he paid for? I'd say he has a right to be pissed.

Not sure what I think of this, but here are some points to ponder. $70,000-78,000 per year is way high for teachers' salaries. Most experiences teachers make between $40,000 and $60,000 per year. Normally, having read the 6 conditions of the reform, I wouldn't think expecting a little extra compensation would be unreasonable, but with salaries that are already that high... There were six conditions, not three, to the reform. Here More than just high school teachers are at fault when the students are performing poorly. Often, poor performance in high school means that the students never learned the basics in elementary and middle school. The students and their parents are also at least partially responsible for their performance. I seriously doubt that just firing the teachers will make that much of a difference in the overall performance of the students. Sounds like the school needs a complete overhaul.

Wearing a skirt so short that it doesn't cover your ass in the back with a thong, or worse, with no underwear. I must have seen this 5 or 6 times at City last night. It looks trashy on people who are in decent shape, but when your ass is as wide as my refrigerator...*shudders* (I'm not picking on fat people. I'm certainly not skinny myself, but come on, put some clothes on!)

Physically, I feel awesome. I can't remember the last time I had this much energy. Mentally, a little bit appalled...

I'm on day 2 of the Lemonade Diet/Cleanse and feeling great. It's really making me realize that I don't drink enough water. I will have to work on that when I go back to eating regularly. Anyway, I'm down about 3 lbs so far.

I'm not much of a dog person, partly because the barking drivers me nuts, but I would never consider doing this to a dog. It sounds very cruel and unnecessary. Not only would the dog not be able to communicate, it wouldn't be able to cry for help if being attacked. Why would one get a dog if one didn't want to hear barking? Spaying/neutering is actually beneficial to animals in most cases because, not only does it prevent unwanted breeding, it reduces the risk of certain types of reproductive cancers and tumors in animals. As someone who lost a cat to breast cancer, I would never consider not neutering another pet.
