  1. Hugs! Hope you feel better soon, I am worried about you! No one understands how hard a wedding can be until they have a S.O. who's a million miles away. Awww...hope you feel better soon, too. I am happy for Nightgaunt and Tszura. Everyone seems to have a lovely time yesterday. I feel like yesterday was a great day all around. After the wedding we stopped to catch up with some friends we hadn't seen in a while, and that was lots of fun as well. I am a little bored. I wish I had just started the new job today. Give me a few days, though, and I'm sure I'll be craving my free time again.
  2. My attention span is so short that I didn't finish the quiz!
  3. Like I'm glad GRG's kitty is going to be ok. Honestly, hun, I did read that this morning and I thought I commented on it. You'll have to forgive me, it's been a rotten fucking week. Like I am happy that Charlie and I are both off work to go to the wedding tomorrow. Like I am still working on what to wear, but I am getting closer. Like I need to stop comfort eating. I really hope starting the new job will help with that.
  4. Here's one someone actually bought from me last night: 2 bags of cough drops a roll of masking tape a 36 pack of condoms
  5. Like I want to scream and rip my hair out, but all that would do is give me a sore throat and bald patches!
  6. I wouldn't do it. There's nothing on this earth that could make me surrender my body for nine months for a baby I didn't even get to keep. I couldn't, even for a close friend. I would offer to do anything I could to help them adopt, but that would be where I draw the line.
  7. I talked to her. She's going to leave class a few minutes early so I can get her. Sorry, HW, that I couldn't really understand you when you called, it wasn't a very good connection.
  8. Another thread made me think about it. Would you consider carrying a child for someone else? Either a family member or close friend, or someone you didn't know? Would you consider it for some type of compensation, monetary or other wise? Men are welcome to answer, too, but I'm really interested in what the women have to say on this.
  9. Like I don't want to go through my voicemails because I know that there's an old one in there from HER, and I will start crying when I hear HER voice.
  10. Hmmmm...apparently I missed quite a bit yesterday...
  11. Most of my female friends on this site call me Tyger and most of my male friends on this site call me my actual first name (Dana). Not sure why. For the most part, I hate nicknames, whether mine or someone-else's. Morbid is allowed to call me honey, sweetie, baby, or babydoll. A few special friends get away with calling me hon or sweetie without me correcting them, but even then, I wish they wouldn't. Anyone else, don't even try it.
  12. I feel like the anger stage of the grief process is kicking in. Everyone beware of the wrath of TygerLili for the next couple of days. I FEEL LIKE I FUCKING HATE SMARMY PROMOTERS!!! I feel like Bella is purposely staying right under my feet so I will keep stepping on her, then keep having to pick her up to comfort and cuddle her.
  13. a box of condoms a staple gun a hula hoop
  14. Some people need to learn to just accept a diplomatic answer. I am not a liar, and I will not say like something when I do not. My family needs to STFU! No, grandma! Not all people in the goth scene are Wiccan, and Wicca and Satan Worship are two totally different things, and not all Satan Worshiping religions are inherently bad! Grrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Totally depends on the person. Also, in my book, a little goes a long way. If I honestly can't tell if someone is male or female, I am NOT going to be attracted.
  16. If you want something that stays put then, regardless of what actual line of make up you use, I recommend using an eye primer potion like the one urban decay makes. I only ever wear eye pencil anymore if I am being extremely lazy and don't care how I look. For times I want to look good and special occasions I either use liquid liner for a thin, clean liner look, or I use a smudge brush and dark eye shadow for a smoky eyeliner look. I have eye pencils in probably 7 or 8 different brands, and they are pretty much all crap after you use them a couple of times. I will say that the urban decay glide on pencils are good for color intensity, even though they are a pain to sharpen, are impossible to get precise lines with, and smudge/wipe off way too easily. The "cat-eyes" look is best achieved with liquid liner. I wouldn't even bother to try it with pencil; you'll never get the pencil sharp enough to get the precise lines you need for cat-eyes. You need to practice with liquid liner, but I've found the best way to apply it is to start as close to the lash line as possible, because the further you get from the lash line the easier it is to get it uneven, start at the inside corner and work your way out. If the line is too thin you can always extend it out once the lash line is appropriately darkened. With cat eyes start by drawing the line just a bit past the corner of your lash line. Keep it pretty much straight with just the slightest curve up at the end. For the bottom lids, use the liquid liner from the outside in and go no more than half way in. If you want make-up on your whole bottom lid use the black eye shadow and the smudge brush very lightly to make a smokier line. Also, if you are going to do cat eyes, a good, dark mascara is a must. If you want smoky eyes, take the smudge brush and a nice dark eye shadow (I prefer glittery black myself) and rim the top and bottom lids with eye shadow, wiping away the smudges with a q-tip moistened with make-up remover as you go. If I want my eyes nice and dark I put a thin layer of black liquid liner on the top lid over the black eye shadow. For liquid liners I like Urban Decay and LA Splash. I haven't tried Wet and Wild liquid liners, but I've seen them in the store and they make some neat colors and are cheap. I am currently trying to find a new sparkly black eye shadow I like. The one I use now is Lancome, but I've heard recently they test on animals, so I won't be buying more Lancome once the stuff I have is used up. I recommend Ulta for brushes. I can't remember the name of the line, but they have a pretty decent line of them on the "cheap" side of the store. Both full and travel sizes. Most of my brushes are Sephora, if you want to spend the money, and I've heard good things about Bobbi Brown brushes, but never used them.
  17. Not doing anything for me...I guess I can see how it would appeal to steampunk/bondage fans, though.
  18. It seems redundant for me to post here, and ridiculous to use the word "happy," since yesterday was anything but, but "Happy Belated Birthday," nonetheless. I will be celebrating with him when things calm down a bit.
  19. Jynxie and Dragon-Thank you for making an effort to come to the funeral. I totally understand, it was a long way from here. Hugs to both of you. I feel exhausted, among other things. I feel the need to tell everyone special in my life how much that they mean to me.
  20. And now for Charlie: He's the yin to my yang. We're different in almost every way, but we balance each other out perfectly. We've had our ups and down, but through it all we've stayed best friends. I love that he's supportive of me. I love that he's protective of me. I love that he loves animals as much as I do. I love that he's so good with my family and friends. I love that he's open and he and I can really sit down and talk about things. I love that he's interested in learning, and in the things that I talk about. I love that he laughs with me and he cries with me. I love that, though he doesn't have much, he wants to share everything with me. I love how safe I feel when he has his arms around me.
