  1. My family is very close and we try to support eachother through eveything sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It's not that we have to. It is more of a show of willpower and the willingness to attempt to give up something we enjoy as a way to bring us closer to eachother and to god. As to giving up things that are nonessentials we have already done that with a few exceptions. We don't buy paper towels, fast food, cookies, chips, or stuff like that. usually mom gets a big bag of hershey kisses a month for the house, the occasional snacks for the kids, and a six pack of beer a week. as for buying less gas i wish we could. people do have to work moia mutka has to work 5-6days a week. she works on the other side of town. my dad is getting a job even farther away, but will be carpooling with my brother. Please try to understand that i don't do it cause i have to i do it cause i love my mom and while i don't enjoy the 40 day chocolate diet it is an excuse of us to spend more time talking and understanding eachother. she is happy with her religion and while i'm not catholic i will do everything in my power to keep my mom happy.
  2. well mom did try to give up Pepsi one time but that didn't work too well. It's more the fact that i am the only one in the family willing to even try anymore. my father never made an attempt to be supportive and my sisters have both givin up even trying to supportive. i am tired of trying to explain to everyone why it is so important to my mom and to me. i don't move on to other vises i just suffer through it for the most part. normally i just work harder at the whole spring cleaning thing, but i recently injured my back which makes it harder for me to do anything. i look at it almost as a diet.
  3. My son has epilepsy. 2 years ago they put him on Trileptal. Shortly after he started taking it we noticed serious attitude problems developing. the doc told me it was normal behavior for a 5 year old, but put him on Neurontin to try to counteract the problem. by taking a combination of these meds seems to have made his attitude problems turn into mood swings to rival the hormonal immbalances of pregnancy. We think the meds turned him bi-polar, but again the doc disagrees. they did however take him off the Neurontin and put him on Depakote instead so far the only change is that his grades have improved slightly. I would appreciate any and all opinions and insight that anyone can offer.
  4. I hope my mom don't have to miss work for being sick. Possible Menengitis running through the town. One kid dead another seriously ill. Hope things get better soon.
  5. I don't really know about any of this. Every time something like that comes on my son changes the channel. 7 year olds are not interested in stuff like that. Dad said it's bad, real bad, he worried it will cause major economic damage for the less fortunate people in this country.
  6. My mom is catholic so every year for Lent she gives up chocolate. even though i'm not catholic i do this also as moral support. going through emotional problems this year which is making it alot harder. everyone always yelling or griping, kids fighting over video games, not being able to get a job, and my poor self can't deal. chocolate calms me. this really sucks.
  7. So the little brat cats are just acting out because they trying to show each other a display of dominance. good to know
  8. still open but now all men are not fun. They are mean, and not fun.
  9. My neice is a stupid slut, I can't believe she got a job before me, if my dad calls me fat again I'll chop his balls off, chocolate would be good right now, why is the room spinning.
  10. I was watching on the news this morning. Very tragic. I send my deepest and highest prayers out to those who have lost loved ones and to those who are no longer among us.
  11. my sister has these two boy cats. Heckle and Jekyl. the problem is the for the last two months jekyl has been mounting heckle. my sister's 6 year old has started asking questions but jen just tells her they are playing. insight is appreciated.
  12. single but looking for an alpha who can stand spending time with crazy football fans, kids, a really hyper beagle, and the most opinionated ass in the world.
  13. i actually know and have seen such things happening to many of my friends. i know people from the marines, army, national guard, and army reserves they have all faced similiar problems. of course Benfield is a hick. when he joined the guard he drove through the middle of town backwards in his jeep got out danced around a tree singing "I'm gonna kill Bin Laden" jumped back in his jeep and took off. Jr. is a little slow but has caught more hell for being in the military than for actually screwing up. Kelly had a hard time getting any work. it really sucks.
  14. i just didn't want to say anything that would make both his and my parents mad. i really need to maintain my position in the family hierarchy.

  17. I really hope not. for the record i think walgreens needs to get with it. it took me 3weeks to get my sons seizure meds because they screwed up. Wish my folks were home so their damn dog would chill out and quit wining.
  18. Five days ago my 13 year old nephew asked me if it was possible to be reincarnated if you believe in god. Seeing as how the religious views in my family are very wide spread i was not sure how to answer him. My mom is Catholic, my dad is nondenominational, one sister a mormon, one sister a baptist, and i'm wiccan. Any ideas on how to answer the guestion at hand without upsetting any other family members?
