Nice idea, but seriously I can see that project ending badly. Looks like the commune from hell to me. I have lived in the middle of the ocean before. It was not an easy thing to do even though we were still under United States jurisdiction. Waking up every morning, walking outside and being completely surrounded by water plays tricks on the mind itself. You must be completely self-sufficient, i.e. you are the fireman, policeman, cook, plumber etc. Due to the isolation pre-set social norms, laws and guidelines are useful. If they do not firmly establish their government or even some type of governing authority before setting out for the open water, then I fear they will be doomed from the start.

What bothers me in particular is that these pictures do not just blur the line between what is considered art, and, what is considered child pornography… they obliterate it. As a society we try to protect our children from exploitation by setting certain boundaries. This just seems like a step backwards.

I recently finished A Mind Apart: Travels in a Neurodiverse World by Susanne Antonetta and am currently working on a collection of H.P. Lovecraft tales including The Call of Cthulhu.

OK, aviation electronics I was in the navy. Worked both directly on aircraft and in a support position at an intermediate maintenance facility. Basically, the squadrons break the parts, remove them and send them to us for repair. I also was a qualified solder technician, through hole, surface mount, board repair, splices, hook relays, etc... You name it As far as books go I like classics and sci-fi. Right now I’m reading The Call of Cthulu and Other Dark Tales.
